Brad's Digital Photography

A Digital Photography Blog! Wednesday, December 19, 2012. However I believe all the shots in the post came out exceptional! The fifth shot I was trying to play on shadows, I adjusted Iso, exposure, and aperture to get the longer shadows I got on the leaf. I had a lot of fun taking these photos and I learned a tremendous amount about my own talent during the exercise. Sunday, December 9, 2012. Sunday, November 25, 2012. So what am I trying to say? Brad's Digital Photography: October 2012

http://www.bradsdigitalphotography.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

A Digital Photography Blog! Sunday, October 28, 2012. While I now understand how to use flash more and I feel like I have a good understanding of what I would need to use one for great pictures, I still prefer natural light. Although, being able to understand all of your options and how to use them is a priceless lesson. You never know when you will need more light, even during the day time! Sunday, October 14, 2012. Brad's Digital Photography: Portrait/Black and White

http://www.bradsdigitalphotography.blogspot.com/2012/12/portraitblack-and-white.html

A Digital Photography Blog! Sunday, December 9, 2012. Let me start off by saying that Portrait and Self-Portrait photography are not my favorite. Nor are they my strongest area. I guess I would rather work with inanimate objects or still life. I do like voyeur style photography, but I find the setup or staged portrait photography a little boring. In my opinion any way! Brad's Digital Photography: November 2012

http://www.bradsdigitalphotography.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

A Digital Photography Blog! Sunday, November 25, 2012. Continuing on the theme of rules, we now have the rule of composition; well really I would say the absence of a rule on composition. The composition of a shot can be as planned as you want or as spur of the moment as the moments do present themselves. It can take weeks to setup a correct composition to the shot and can be a very daunting task. However you can also create beautifully composed shots in the blink of an eye. So what am I trying to say?

Jim's ESC Blog. Where Jim blogs his ESC coursework. I’ve been doing portraits for years, sometimes in a fairly controlled setting, and sometimes just winging it. Jim's ESC Blog. Where Jim blogs his ESC coursework. In all the excitement of waiting for my new camera to arrive, I never went back and actually did the assignment where I explained its features. I bought a Nikon D3200. As I showed in my unboxing post. And the one before it. The camera has a decent built-in pop-up flash that will come up automatically in full program mode, and apart from some red-eye when shooting at a distance, it works well, and recharges quickly. It has a “guide mode” that...A feature...

Jim's ESC Blog. Where Jim blogs his ESC coursework. Lost my photos when my SD card crashed, or so I thought. I got back from my trip to Charlotte last Monday, and discovered, to my horror, that the SD card I’d been using in my new camera had crashed. TestDisk’s apps run from the Terminal, which requires a bit of advanced knowledge of technical jiggery-pokery, which I’m just barely savvy enough to claim. Well, it looks like a new camera is going to be a couple of weeks away for personal financial reasons. I’m looking hard at the Nikon D3200. Now, along with a long zoom lens that comes as part of a nifty package. In the meantime, I’ll just keep using what I’ve been using for a while, which is my little Canon Powershot A590 IS. August 15, 2015. August 15, 2015. In the past five months I’ve been out of state for two of them. And while it’s nice scoring crazy points with airlines and hotels, I’m just plain happy to be home for a weekend in New York to work out. In my life, working out is a pretty big deal. But I have a very demanding job so how do I have time for it? Work-week: In lieu of playing chicken in a hot, crowded subway before my day starts, I walk to my bus station, which is 1.5 miles away from where I live. But I inste...
