POTTERY - CERAMICS AND SURROUNDINGS: A PLACE LIKE HOME
http://ingeborgkoot.blogspot.com/2014/04/a-place-like-home.html
POTTERY - CERAMICS AND SURROUNDINGS. SHARING AN INSIGHT ON POTTERY, CERAMICS AND OTHER FINDS. A PLACE LIKE HOME. A PLACE LIKE HOME. To go back to my Website: ingeborgkootpottery.com. We were given a most beautiful bat-box, and tulip bulbs as house warming gifts. Our new home has bats. Apparently we need to try and hang our bat-box 6 to 8 weeks before relocating them in this part of the woods. Such warmth. Water, trees and a veggie patch, a place called Home for all. We are moving. Fawn Lily about to bloom.

Ben Stark Pottery: Mmmmm...The other white meat!
http://starkspots.blogspot.com/2010/02/mmmmmthe-other-white-meat.html
Sunday, February 28, 2010. MmmmmThe other white meat! Yesterday, I grilled a pork loin roast, and it was AWESOME! This was the first time that I successfully grilled something 'low and slow' (don't ask about the ribs I did a little while back) and I'm finally getting the hang of it. All that I used was a dry rub and seared it, then grilled it over indirect heat for about 2-1/2 hrs. Super juicy and it melted in the mouth! Leftovers for lunch today :). Genevieve got a little car (thanks aunt Addie!

Ben Stark Pottery: February 2009

Thursday, February 26, 2009. These are my new favorite things! I have always wanted to. Make a dropped lid (not sure if that's the correct term), but had never made the time to experiment. Trimming was always the part that befuddled me, but a while back fetishghost. Posted his technique on throwing and trimming lids and it made everything so clear! By the way, it worked really, really well! Well, I've run out of things to say! Saturday, February 21, 2009. I just finished reading Brandon's blog. In firing...

Kip O'Krongly: Working Again, With a New Perspective...
http://kipokrongly.blogspot.com/2011/09/working-again-with-new-perspective.html
Updates from the studio. Friday, September 23, 2011. Working Again, With a New Perspective. And so the question looms large: now that I'm aware of overworking myself, how do I avoid a cronic cycle of burn-out such that I eventually end up hating the thing I was once so passionate about? What do you do to avoid burn out? When you ARE burned out, how do you recover? Tractor cup patiently waiting for corn sgraffito. Rob, Simple Circle Studios. September 23, 2011 at 8:41 AM. Kitty's Granada Studio: Another Terrifying Kiln Experience
http://kittyshepherd.blogspot.com/2015/08/another-terrifying-kiln-eperience.html
Sunday, August 9, 2015. Another Terrifying Kiln Experience. Reference to the last post; my kiln is on its own mission to give me a nervous breakdown. I have had a series of near misses in the kiln again, this time; "Shaky Firing Number 2". In the kiln was this pot, an important piece that I really needed to get out in perfect condition. There were a lot of hours racked up in "Ray Gun Jar", particularly on the painting front. So, result…. bloody perfect pot! August 9, 2015 at 3:03 PM. Robert, praise indee...
