Our next stop was a visit to U Revata at his monastery, nestled in Sagaing Hills, which lie south of Mandalay, rising above the Ayeyarwaddy River. U Revata is a friend of several of our dear friends who have met him over a decade ago in those same hills. He is an engineer who in his 30s decided to become a monk. He invited us to stay.
