I used intentional camera movement with a slow shutter and deliberately under-exposed to get a darker feel. A bi-colour filter applied in post enhanced the eerie vibe. Right now, the prettiest thing in our drought-stricken garden is a lone salvia plant that sprang up this spring and thrived on neglect. The deer have left it alone, and its bright purple flowers have proved a magnet for bees and skipper moths. Pas joeg ik weer eens iemand de stuipen op het lijf door voor dood in de berm te liggen. Deze harige knapperd kwam ik tegen in het prachtige natuurgebied Diakonievene, slechts tien minuutjes met de auto vanaf mijn huis. Ik kom er regelmatig, vooral in voorjaar/zomer, want met alle wilde grassen, bloemen en plassen is het een waar insectenparadijs. Oh oh Den Haag.
