debits & (kredits): November 2011

Celebrating the small stuff in my ordinary life. Sunday, November 20, 2011. Makes me laugh. But my smile quickly disappears. Then there's a sudden onset of guilt as I realize I'm currently working on enlarging the imprint of my buttocks on the couch. Too many treats this weekend and this commercial is likely going to haunt me in my sleep tonight. This girl will be at kickboxing bright and early in the morning. I don't want to face the wrath of Miss Hannigan! Links to this post. Tuesday, November 8, 2011.

debits & (kredits): Who Saved the Daylight?
http://debitsandkredits.blogspot.com/2012/03/who-saved-daylight.html
Celebrating the small stuff in my ordinary life. Sunday, March 18, 2012. Who Saved the Daylight? My first memory of daylight savings time must be somewhere around the age of six, maybe seven years old. I remember running through the neighborhood (even after eating "supper" with the family) playing with my friends hardly noticing the sun slowly drop off the edge of the earth. The sun disappeared just past the end of West Wood Acres, on the west edge of town. 4:29 turned in 7:09. I'm fairly certain tha...

Celebrating the small stuff in my ordinary life. Thursday, September 15, 2011. This week has pushed my buttons, and tested my patience like unwelcome turbulence when all you really want is an uneventful flight to the weekend. Morning temperatures in the 30s offered a harsh chill on my bare arms as I squinted and brushed the sleep out of my eyes while the dog did his business in the darkness this morning. Where are those Junior Mints I bought at the grocery store? In loose talk I learn that Jennifer Garne...

debits & (kredits): It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This (Part One)

Celebrating the small stuff in my ordinary life. Tuesday, March 27, 2012. It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This (Part One). Here's the deal with my college friends - they are all super busy women! The bloody mary's were finished and the last brie cheese ball had been claimed, however the conversation was still flowing. I had to call a conversation timeout to make sure we didn't spend the entire afternoon in the booth at Chester's. Can't leave out a funny detail - after Haley and I hit the checkout we watch...

Celebrating the small stuff in my ordinary life. Thursday, May 13, 2010. It's faint. and there are still plenty of dark clouds all around, but I'm full of hope and plenty of excitement. That was evidenced by the singing and dancing in the kitchen tonight. After taking a bit of a sabbatical from the cupcakes and cookies - I spent time creating something sweet this week. Perhaps I'll finally find that pot of gold at the end of the busy season. I mean rainbow. Links to this post. Thursday, May 6, 2010.

Celebrating the small stuff in my ordinary life. Sunday, March 28, 2010. Since when have there been blue and orange and green? I'm pretty sure they were only pink and yellow when the big bunny left them in my Easter basket. Peeps are for kids - just like Trix. But for some reason I have not outgrown them. I like to puncture the celophane and let them get hard and a little stale before eating them. I have a feeling its going to be a good week - thanks to the Peeps! Me and my peeps are ready for Spring!

Celebrating the small stuff in my ordinary life. Friday, February 26, 2010. For some reason I have always liked Annie Lennox's song - Walkin on Broken Glass. It's a catchy tune and sometime I find myself singing it out loud. After the course of today's events I am not sure that I will ever sing along to this song again. With the dog in his crate I ran out of the house and thankfully remembered my gym bag. Made it to the chiropractor and finally to the client. I'm pretty sure this isn't my favorite day.

Celebrating the small stuff in my ordinary life. Thursday, April 29, 2010. Then Marshallow Mateys might serve the same purpose. As we lingered I ate the oat pieces of the cereal first. Then methodically ate the marshmallows by type. There were yellow moons, organge stars, blue diamonds, red balloons, purple horeshoes and finally the rainbows. I'm hoping I have as much energy as the leprechaun tomorrow! If you're curious about the cereal, like me, check out the details and history here. Links to this post.
