And so life goes…. March 13, 2011 at 4:06 am ( Pagan Student Nurse. I spent today recovering from the most awful toothache and am consequently grumpy and unreasonable. Toothaches are the worst things…I’d rather have the stomach flu. My three year old son tried his best to make me feel better. He kept hauling his favorite stuffed animals into bed with me! I am going to take a stiff shot of vodka…for it’s antiseptic properties, of course…and pass out! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

February 16, 2009 at 7:57 pm ( A day in the life. It’s hard to believe that there is only one more week in this semester! I disabused him of a few things and we got on famously after that:) The fellow was asking the residents questions about what nerve came out superior to the piriformis and what it innervated and what the leg actions relating to it were and I was able to answer before one resident could fumble his way through-and got it right! Class,Generation Gaps, and Apologies. I understand that some...

Coffee Cram Number 2. February 1, 2009 at 7:23 pm ( A day in the life. George was away at the cottage this weekend with his friends (all guy weekend trip) and just came back this morning. I’m glad he had a few days to decompress…boy could I use some! I miss him when he’s gone–the bed seems much too big, even though when he’s home I complain about how he sprawls and hogs the covers. Back to the dreadful thyrotoxicosis and tubular necrosis flashcards! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Autist's Corner: "What jobs can't I do if I have Asperger's syndrome?"
http://autistscorner.blogspot.com/2009/12/what-jobs-cant-i-do-if-i-have-aspergers.html
The dark alley where feminism, autism advocacy and literary criticism meet. Tuesday, December 29, 2009. What jobs can't I do if I have Asperger's syndrome? That was a question posted on CNN.com's "Expert Q and A". Luckily, the psychiatrist who answered it did not actually provide a list of jobs he thinks people with Asperger's (or any other form of autism, or any other kind of neurological difference) can't do as well as neurotypical people! A list of proscribed professions, should one be put forth.

Product Review] ScreamingO’s FingO Vibrator for TheirToys.com. The Sacrosanct Identity, Bigotry And The Enabling Of Oppression. When Activism Becomes Self Harm. It’s difficult to write this. Well, not all of us. There’s no doubt that pain is an element in our motivations. And for some it even becomes a dangerous driving force. With me, it’s less of a fight or flight response making every battle a pitched and dangerous one and more of an entirely different effect from the same basic causes. Anyone can con...

let them eat pro-sm feminist safe spaces: Thinky comments....
http://sm-feminist.blogspot.com/2010/03/thinky-comments.html
Saturday, 20 March 2010. Just got an interesting comment. On a rather old post. So I thought I'd pull it out:. I think people who ask questions like that are taking an unwarranted shortcut- something like, "Well, we know patriarchy affects people" (true) "and we know patriarchy is based on a power dynamic" (also true) "and we know BDSM is based on a power dynamic" (true) "so patriarchy must. Be involved in BDSM somewhere" (wait, stop, back up a bit). I agree with that, and I also wonder whether it might ...
