Annie: May 2011
http://maryannebishop-annie.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 1, 2011. At the end of March I took a road trip to Las Vegas with a friend and her friend. (aka. there were three of us girls). The event? Celine Dion in concert at Caesar's Palace. I am not a huge Celine fan, but the other two are and they invited me and I thought, why not? In the evening we made our way to the madness of The Strip. We ate dinner at Serendipity 3 outside of Caesar's Palace. They are known for their frozen hot chocolate and it was amazing! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sunday, August 8, 2010. Ending of an Era. For the past 5 years, this has been Veronica and my desks. We have not only became great work colleagues, but great friends as well. We have been through many ups and downs, solved numerous lab problems, dealt with complaints, enjoyed triumphs and endured the stresses.together. It has been so great to be able to sit across from her and talk about anything and everything. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Ending of an Era. View my complete profile.

Annie: The Carolina's
http://maryannebishop-annie.blogspot.com/2013/04/the-carolinas.html
Sunday, April 21, 2013. Last weekend I made a trip out to North Carolina and South Carolina. Veronica, my friend that I used to work with ( I talked about that here. There were also two story rounded porches on the side of the house. My favorite thing at Middleton Place were the gardens. They have huge gardens that were carefully planned out in the 1700's and are still around today. There were tons of Camellia tree. The flowers were all different colors and so pretty. Saturday evening and Sunday morning ...

Monday, September 23, 2013. To the DRC.again. In August I traveled to the DRC again for work (see this post. 10 days was the obvious choice. It was a tough project. Every that we could imagine going wrong did go wrong. Everything that we could not. Since I was working so much and a lot of the driving to and from the mine was done in the dark I didn't get to take many pictures, but I did manage a few. This one is not great, but I was trying to capture the HUGE termite mounds in the background. The thi...

Tyler and Rochelle Barton: June 2010
http://tyrobarton.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Tyler and Rochelle Barton. Friday, June 25, 2010. Let's see. We left off at me about a month away from having a baby. Yep, that happened. We welcomed the second addition to our little family, a beautiful baby girl we named Lilah Margrit Barton. She is an absolute joy and the light of our lives.cheesy I know, but true. Here's a few pics of our "Little Sweetheart", which is what Brody calls her. A very tired mommy and daughter. A curious big brother. Still very, very tired. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

They said it would be very windy with some rain, but instead it was very snowy with some wind. The train home last night took four and a half hours, and I consider myself lucky - they shut down the whole system right after my train left the station, but let us go through to the end, eventually. I had to go to a different station, where my fam generously came to pick me up. Ellie and Nico used the waiting time productively. The main thing is we still have power! Never take your electricity for granted!

Oof, we haven't posted for awhile. Anders and Liam just turned two! They haven't figured out what birthdays are yet, but they were happy to see their favorite banana bread show up as birthday cake. They had some great presents. Thanks grandparents! Anders' favorite present was from Ellie - a scrap of cloth with lots of buttons sewn on. She knows him well. Happy birthday A L! Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Traveling, especially when I don't have to pay a dime! The flights down and back were during the night but I got was able to get a decent night sleep because I get to fly business class for international work travel (one thing I would never do on my own so I am grateful for every minute of it). Across the street from the office was this earthquake. Peruvian food is so good! On Saturday our flight wasn't until 8:30 pm so we did some sight seeing. Luckily one of my co-workers spe...
