I made this last night and we loved it! 8 slices bacon, diced (you can use less). 1/2 cup chopped onion. 1 teaspoon minced garlic. 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes. 2 (145 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes. 1 pound linguine pasta, uncooked. 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil. 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese. Cook diced bacon in a large saucepan over medium high heat until crisp, about 5 minutes. Drain all but 2 tablespoons of drippings from the pan. Posted by Recipe Gals.

Buttercream Frosting for Decorating. 1 cup Butter Flavored Crisco OR. 1/2 cup regular Crisco and 1/2 cup butter (softened). 2 - 3 T warm water. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. 1/2 tsp almond extract (can be substituted). 1/4 tsp rum extract (can be substituted). 4 cups SIFTED confectioners sugar. 1 tblsp corn syrup (helps with glide). Adapted from allrecipes.com but changed a few things. 1 pound green beans. 1/4 cup chopped onion. 1/4 cup chopped cooked ham or bacon (can leave this out). 1/4 cup butter or margarine. 1/4 cup chicken broth. 1 garlic clove, minced.
