http://cigarboxheroes.blogspot.com/2015/02/seven-years-war-15mm.html
Adventures in table-top miniature wargaming. Thursday, February 19, 2015. Seven Years War - 15mm. I've been really enjoying playing these 15mm SYW games again! I had built 15mm SYW Prussian and Austrian armies years ago for "Koenig Krieg", but in the last few years they have just been collecting dust on the shelf in their cigar boxes! Anyway, here are some pics from the game:. Good Gaming - Cory R. The opposing armies - the Austrians on the left and the attacking Prussians on the right. We had great time...
Cigar Box Heroes: Shiloh - A stubborn East Flank
http://cigarboxheroes.blogspot.com/2014/09/shiloh-stubborn-east-flank.html
Adventures in table-top miniature wargaming. Sunday, September 7, 2014. Shiloh - A stubborn East Flank. This is a small scenario for ADF which is perfect for two players. Dean took the Feds and I played the Rebs. Turn one saw a general CSA advance (although it was slooooowwww through the woods and ravines) and almost no firing, with the Feds reacting to some of the Rebel movements. The mat was commissioned by John Hill and I think it really looks fantastic! Here are some pics from the game:. An overview ...

Back from vacation! | CHARGE! Civil War wargaming
https://scottmingus.wordpress.com/2007/08/19/back-from-vacation
Back issues of Charge! JR 3 Rules Questions. Scott L. Mingus, Sr. August 19, 2007. I was up in the Poconos for several days for a long overdue family vacation. We swam, took boat rides, long nature walks, played board games, played with our infant grandson, and ate very well. Very relaxing! Thank God this trip to the Poconos was far more interesting and fruitful! Newer post →. One thought on “ Back from vacation! August 21, 2007. Dunc's Persistent Tangent: 10mm Naps & 15mm Sci-Fi
http://duncanhamilton.blogspot.com/2013/09/10mm-naps-15mm-sci-fi.html
Saturday, 21 September 2013. 10mm Naps and 15mm Sci-Fi. I painted some stuff. Firstly, I dragged the 10mm Redline Miniatures Napoleonics out of the lead pile and finished some more of them. Despite the fact they look excellent, I'm never going to play wargames with them, so they went on eBay. As everyone of my age knows, real space soldiers don't wear camo - they wear grubby orange environment suits, and their armour always looks like glossy white plastic. Jim Burns is primarily to blame for this. The Wa...

Ian decided to customize another building and partially scratch build his own 40mm version of this historic structure on the Gettysburg battlefield. Nice job, isn’t it? Newer post →.
Dunc's Persistent Tangent: February 2012
http://duncanhamilton.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, 25 February 2012. Obviously money is a worry, but it was a worry when I was working, so no change on that front. On the positive it means I get to enjoy some time to myself, and don't have to fret about being on the 07:00 hrs to London Bridge, working 70 hours a week, or any of the relentless nonsense which accompanies business sales these day. So, all that means I've had time to take stock of the wargaming situation, and be utterly ruthless in the projects on the go. There's still the matter o...
Dunc's Persistent Tangent: October 2012
http://duncanhamilton.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 17 October 2012. Dystopian Wars Battle - loads of pics. So, having reviewed the fleet over the weekend, a 1000pt battle was organised with Pete for this evening. I debated at length what to put on the table, eventually deciding to leave the usual favourites (Mk.I Magenta, Marseilles) in the bag. Initially went with Tourbillon, Vauban, Couronne, Chevalier, Lyons, Ecuyers, and Voltaires. On a reflection I dropped the Tourbillon for the Mk.2 Magenta. Sunday, 14 October 2012. Now we have the two E...

Dunc's Persistent Tangent: BD&D DIY Maps
http://duncanhamilton.blogspot.com/2013/04/bd-diy-aps.html
Tuesday, 2 April 2013. One thing I've always loved about BD&D was the classic style of overland mapping - mostly usually seen on a hex grid. Vast dragon infested snow capped mountain ranges intersecting kingdoms, huge forests stuffed full of goblins, and endless windblown steppes with implausibly sited ancient fastnesses of evil wizards. I have The Gimp (open source photoshop alike), and with a bit of Google-fu, I found this;. The Way Things Were. 11 April 2013 at 08:36. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Cigar Box Heroes
Adventures in table-top miniature wargaming. Tuesday, January 31, 2017. We recently got together and played Marengo 1800 at the grand-tactical scale using 15mm figures and Napoleon's Battles 1st edition! The figures are mostly old 15mm Napoleonics with a few Naismith's, MiniFigs, Essex and Battle Honours. I don't have any 15mm Italian buildings, so I used my old 15mm Architectural Heritage German buildings. Please see the pics and captions below for a recap of the action! The initial starting positions.
