Website spring-cleaning | The London Sound Survey
http://www.soundsurvey.org.uk/index.php/survey/post/website_spring-cleaning
Occasional posts on subjects including field recording, London history and literature, other websites worth looking at, articles in the press, and news of sound-related events. YOU’RE SUPPOSED to redecorate your home every five years, according to popular wisdom which probably emanates from Dulux’s marketing department. Websites, however, do indeed show their age quickly. I mourn the end of simpler times when anyone could put up a site about UFOs from Antarctica and, with a cheap program like HoTMetaL.

A sound art and field recording blog. A Christmas wish: the end of End of Year lists. Let’s come clean: who actually reads those endless columns of woeful end of year ‘Best of’ lists on garish backgrounds, so beloved by magazine and newspaper critics alike? I am wondering, because come December they seem to be as punctual as Fairytale of New York coming on the radio (and I love that song, don’t get me wrong). Not to mention the anxiety-inducing element. Did you miss that retrospective in London? That irk...
