The vibrant yellows are fast fading to brown. During Victorian times these flowers represented chivalry, today they represent hope. Any ideas as to why? 65279; . 65279;. Despite the wet and windy weather, we saw some Pied Flycatchers. Pied flycatchers spend the Winter in West Africa and fly over here for the Summer. How many wing beats do you think that takes? Our House Martins are staying a little longer, feeding up for their long flight back to Africa. They normally leave in September.
