Recalls are painful for everyone involved: borrowers, requestors, and the Library (we often feel stuck in the middle trying to play book referee between warring patrons). The University of Chicago Library's suggestions and comments. Standing Desks, Please. I have been suffering from back pain for a long time, while I still have to work in sitting a couple of years more at the university. Do you think I can ask you if our library will be able to set some standing desks for students who are with back pain? I am sure this is kind of occupational disease, so many of my colleagues wish to have those facilities. By getting them, the library will bring more people than usual.
