Nick and Melody's Blog. On November - 17 - 2011. So…i figure i’ll do this post in bullet point form. Random thoughts I’ve had over the past couple of months, in no order of implied importance or relevance. I’ll be hitting post as soon as the babies need me….so here goes…see how far i get:. Melody is amazing. She gets less sleep than I do. She gets more stress during the day as she’s looking after them…and she handles it all so well. I was hesitant about ever having more than 2 kids, and I’m not sur...

Nick and Melody's Blog. On September - 15 - 2011. Welcome to Ainsley and Isla. Well, after close to 3 years of “trying” my cell phone rang today at around lunch time…and Melody said that the Doctors told her it was go time. She had to be admitted to the hospital for observation for pre-eclampsia (. Is a medical condition. In association with significant amounts of protein in the urine. She said there was no urgent rush, and that I could take my time coming home, but not to procrastinate. Click here to ca...

Nick and Melody's Blog. This is the contribution I sent for Nan’s memorial service (that I could not attend). It goes without saying that I wish that I could be there to share in the celebration of our Nan’s long life. I am happy that she got to meet my wife Melody in person, and it gives me great [ Read More ]. Today was a blur. babies woke up. babies ate. babies slept. babies pooped. babies did all these things, not necessarily in that order. Trying to get into a routine…. Today we had to take both b...

Nick and Melody's Blog. On May - 28 - 2013. This is the contribution I sent for Nan’s memorial service (that I could not attend). It goes without saying that I wish that I could be there to share in the celebration of our Nan’s long life. I am happy that she got to meet my wife Melody in person, and it gives me great pleasure to know that she was able to enjoy pictures and videos of our twin girls Ainsley and Isla. Nan was always welcoming, gracious, and giving of her time. Be Sociable, Share!

Nick and Melody's Blog. Blood Tests and Billi-Blankets. On September - 20 - 2011. Sunday…still at the hospital. Trying to get into a routine…. Today we had to take both babies back to the hospital for blood tests, to make sure they were moving in the right direction (away from jaundice). Both Ainsley and Isla did really well…not crying really at all, except when they got the blood test (in the heel of their foot). Be Sociable, Share! Sunday…still at the hospital. Trying to get into a routine….

Nick and Melody's Blog. Trying to get into a routine…. On September - 21 - 2011. Blood Tests and Billi-Blankets. Since Ainsley and Isla were born, we’ve been on a new schedule. Every 3 hours, we feed them, then burp them, then get them back to sleep, and Melody pumps. By the time that all finishes, we have, on average, about 45 minutes to sleep before the next rotation begins. If we’re lucky, we get about 90 minutes…but that’s been rare. Be Sociable, Share!
