Working and playing hard in DC and escaping the city life whenever we have a chance. Friday, August 31, 2012. The End of Summer. And the busy-ness of it all was so worth it! But here are a few pictures of some of the quieter moments from the summer, and still, moments that mean the world to me-. Park time on a cooler summer day. A little tv time. Silly baby getting into everything. Beat the Heat movie nights. Summer Camp at Abingdon Elementary School. Here's to more adventures next year. Just kidding....

Monday, December 17, 2012. It has been too long since I have posted on my blog. Time gets away from me.fast. I have been busy making homemade garland for my Christmas tree and table top. This is just old book pages cut into strips, glued and then dipped in glitter. I added old lace just before stringing them on jute cord. Cut and sewed linen and then added beads. More garland and my new fluffy owl. Merry Christmas to all. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Bird Nest in Glass Bell Jar. Thanks to Karen for hostin...

Monday, March 12, 2012. Spring is around the corner. When I'm not on "Pinterest" I have been making a few brooches. Torn muslin works fairly well. Found my spring rabbits that I have had for years. My mom bought them for me from "The Little Traveler" in Geneva more than twenty years ago. This is my fifth crocheted rug. Once it gets warmer I will put the project away. The rug gets pretty heavy on my lap. Have a great week everyone. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Bird Nest in Glass Bell Jar. I have a few old ...

Working and playing hard in DC and escaping the city life whenever we have a chance. Saturday, July 30, 2011. At the end of June Owen finished up his first t-ball season. We found this fun fountain to play in after church one hot Sunday. Owen got his 1st buzz cut of the summer, and a first time cutting hair for mama! And Owen turned into a little fishy who loves to cannon ball, belly flop, and be thrown around in the pool. Posted by Stacey M. Afterward, we celebrated with a family dinner. Safely back on ...

Working and playing hard in DC and escaping the city life whenever we have a chance. Thursday, May 31, 2012. Before receiving their certificates, the children sang a few songs. Go Cardinals, Yay Kindergarten! Posted by Stacey M. Saturday, May 26, 2012. Micah and Owen ready for a hike. I love Owen wearing the Camel Back.

Working and playing hard in DC and escaping the city life whenever we have a chance. Sunday, July 29, 2012. July 2012 may officially go down as the busiest month on record for our family. What started with a whirlwind of Owens birthday and family visiting, then led to our 10th wedding anniversary and a celebration, ended up with trips to Pennsylvania, Sandy Point Maryland, and the Eastern Shore. It was a blast though, and I think we're all still recovering! I love these ladies more then words can say!
