Scattershooting while wondering why so many Cowboys players injure hamstrings, year after year…. As for those who would overlook the horrendous things they’ve done and said, and vote for Hillary or Trump anyway, thereby pushing the corrupt and revolting prospect of a Clinton or Trump presidency upon us all, to the potentially grave detriment of America? Severe Weather – Concerts – Landscapes. Rolling Stones – 50 and Counting – Toronto June 6th, 2013. Asymp; Leave a comment. Well, in a nutshell, the Rolling Stones were a well oiled rock ‘n roll machine at this Toronto show. I don’t know about other shows on this tour, but this one certainly impressed. It looked like they had rehearsed for a long period of time and were serious about getting the music and the vibe right. I’m really glad I went! Everyone looked fit and sober, and in to it:. Rare opportunit...

Severe Weather – Concerts – Landscapes. Partial Solar Eclipse at Sunset – London, Ontario – 23 October 2014. Asymp; Leave a comment. OK, gotta love a photographic challenge – trying to shoot a Partial Solar Eclipse with a 150-600 zoom and no filter. My recently purchased Tamron 150-900 has a 95mm filter size and I have yet to find a good solar filter in that size (I realized tonight that a high-stop ND filter might do well for similar situations). Got a nice compressed sunset! Larr; Previous post. Follow...

Severe Weather – Concerts – Landscapes. Goosenecks of the San Juan – Goosenecks State Park, Utah. Asymp; Leave a comment. Goosenecks State Park is one of the coolest places I have ever been! I saw a picture of this spot many, many years ago, and it intrigued me immediately. Got a lot of shots of this vista with the 14mm wide-angle Samyang, but I’m glad I took a number of overlapping shots with the Bower/Samyang 35mm lens (an extremely sharp lens! Photoshop did a fantastic job with this five-image stitch,...

Severe Weather – Concerts – Landscapes. 21 May 2014 SW Ontario Storms/Chase. In 2014 Weather/Chase Season. All Chasing and Weather. Asymp; Leave a comment. This post covers a couple of events! The first was taken just after midnight on 20 May 2014, when week cell passed over London Ontario. While there was a lot of intra-cloud lightning, I saw no cloud to ground strokes. I did, though, capture one half of a nice anvil crawler:. After some reflection, it became apparent that I would have just enough time ...
