Crossing the finish line. My Promise for 2012. Hmm…do I…. When I made the commitment to write daily, it was a test of my ability to commit to something and see it through to the end. My commitment was for one year, but I have continued to write. However, I’m not sure that I have anything to say. Most days I’m struggling to come up with a topic, and I’m disappointed by what I write. So do I quit writing? That doesn’t feel like the right decision. Do I switch to a weekly commitment? I am Not Just the Lunch Lady. School meals are Changing. June 30, 2012. Tomorrow is July 1st. It is the day that many school districts have been panicked about. It’s big change for some and not so big for others. The Healthier Hunger Free Act goes into effect. That means children will have plenty of fruits and vegetables to choose from every week. All students will be required to take at least 1/2 cup of fruit or vegetable in order to be eligible to receive a reimbursable meal. To all that think of me.
