Live a life you want to remember. Do you trust me? January 20, 2016. Actually, the better, more important question is: Do I trust me? Something I’ve thought a lot about today. I realized today what has been truly lacking; trust. I don’t trust myself. It was a scary moment when I started to put all the pieces together. They didn’t want to go together before, and now it seemed so simple. Well, somewhat simple. I’m still sorting that out, actually. Why don’t I trust myself? It feels like this uncertainty ha...

Live a life you want to remember. March 20, 2016. March 20, 2016. Loss is a huge adjustment. Learning how to say one instead of two. Forcing a smile when you want to cry. Being strong because it’s the only option. It takes a really long time. Adjusting to friend and family gatherings. Politely accepting the “I’m so sorry”. Moving on to a life without. The heartache never goes away. Explaining old pictures becomes easier. Reliving the smiles, the laughs, the memories. But that one day is still dreadful.

Live a life you want to remember. With you in the middle. January 8, 2017. January 8, 2017. Somewhere in between wanting to know about absolutely everything and wanting to escape into the vast wilderness and forget it all exists, that’s where I am. Right in the middle. Or perhaps I have inconveniently placed myself at both extremes. I must prove myself, right? I must make a difference, right? Or, do I go home and love my family? Could that be the most meaningful and impactful difference? Can it be simple?

Live a life you want to remember. October 29, 2016. October 30, 2016. I’m biased, I know. But it would be completely unfair of me to go this entire month with out posting one of my Dad’s originals. I asked for permission first, of course. Aside from being an amazing Dad, he truly is one of the most influential people in my life. I am so thankful for him and everything that is our relationship as father and daughter. Thank you. You are my favorite, Dad.💚. If These Walls Could Talk. See what passed me by.

Live a life you want to remember. October 30, 2016. October 31, 2016. Well, this is it. I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire month of sharing my lyrics, learning a bit more about songwriting and sharing some of my favorite singer songwriters work. This was a transformative process for me. Realizing how much talent I have surrounding me, how gracious they all are and also, that I am capable of songwriting. I’ve done it already and I look forward to writing more. How about some interaction? Aside from bei...

Live a life you want to remember. October 26, 2016. October 27, 2016. I’ve only known Caitlyn for about year now. We met just through happenstance and I am so glad we did. She actually just started her first semester at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Impressive to say the least. Shes quite the versatile musician and singer. Give it a listen. 🙂. With you in the middle. How about some interaction? Music’s Influence on the Real World. On My songwriting history. On My songwriting history.

Live a life you want to remember. Things you never told me. September 13, 2016. September 17, 2016. I screamed on my way home from work a couple days ago. Not because some idiot pulled out in front of me, or because traffic was backed up for miles, or because I actually wanted to. I screamed because life is cruel. But you did tell me once how beautiful my soul is. That was enough to keep me from letting it leave this body. That was enough to make me want keep trying and forgiving and moving forwa...
