Dan's Wildlife Blog: April 2012

http://dansbirdingblog.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 25 April 2012. This weekend just passed I spent in County Durham. The main target really was to watch a black grouse lek which was simply amazing. Alarms set for 3:45 and arriving, windows down, before first light we were welcomed with noises not dissimilar to an alien attack! Snipe, curlew and lapwing all calling right near the car. Here are some dodgy black grouse records when we bumped into them during the day;. OK, that's enough snipe! I leave you with the supporting cast. After a long day...

Dan's Wildlife Blog: Tody-Tastic!

http://dansbirdingblog.blogspot.com/2012/09/tody-tastic.html

Sunday, 23 September 2012. In August I spent 15 days on the wonderful island of Cuba! This wasn't a wildlife trip but I made the most of things by getting up early most mornings whilst in Varadero and wandering around the mangroves near out hotel. I also spent two days in Zapata. In total I saw around 100 species of bird with 90 of them being new. Most of the new birds were exciting but one bird in particular stole the show, the Cuban Tody! Well done you, stunning bird, fantastic captures. Subscribe to: Po...

Dan's Wildlife Blog: April 2011

http://dansbirdingblog.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 20 April 2011. I've been spending a bit of time at some local dung piles taking photos of the migrant wheatears and the resident yellow wagtails. it's a working progress but here is what I havee so far. Saturday, 16 April 2011. Our Wheatears are now making their way north and despite all the wheatear species I saw in Morocco it's still great to have a close encounter with a northern! I'll paying this site a visit more often! Thursday, 14 April 2011. A confiding male reed bunt:. We weren't feel...

Dan's Wildlife Blog: July 2012

http://dansbirdingblog.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Thursday, 26 July 2012. I've been to the Farnes twice this year now and what a great place it is! I first went in June when breeding was well underway and there was loads of activity on Inner Farne! The second time was mid July and the island had changed a lot by then, juv arctic terns on the wing and with the puffins mainly on the sea around the island. Here is a selection of photos from both trips, don't forget to click on them for a bigger view! Seak to use this photo. Some more wide stuff. Saturday w...

Mockery Machine: 07: Never Ape an Ape Man

http://mockerymachine.blogspot.com/2011/06/07-never-ape-ape-man.html

Wednesday, 15 June 2011. 07: Never Ape an Ape Man. We open on a canyon and a film set. Daphne's Uncle has invited the gang to the filming of his new picture: Ape Man of Forbidden Mountain. They've been employed as extras. Apparently the townspeople, who were the old extras, have left their posts because they believe an Ape Man burnt down a mansion. Ape Men hate the wealthy, apparently. I can apreciate that. The Gang are facing this guy but still don't see the Ape Man. Fuck that. Ass Nurses 4 I guess.

Mockery Machine: 04: Mine Your Own Business

http://mockerymachine.blogspot.com/2011/05/04-mine-your-own-business.html

Tuesday, 17 May 2011. 04: Mine Your Own Business. Before we begin I'd like to comment that: 'Mine Your Own Business' sounds like a terrible piece of business advice. If you manufacture like, calenders, then mining your place of work will have disastrous effects. We open with a panoramic shot of a deserted ghost town. A turkey vulture makes a noise like a screaming child, and we zoom in on an abandoned mine. Just a homeless man living in a mine. Ghost Towns. Also Fred looks on the verge of tears. Look at ...

Mockery Machine: 03: Hassle in the Castle

http://mockerymachine.blogspot.com/2011/05/03-hassle-in-castle.html

Tuesday, 10 May 2011. 03: Hassle in the Castle. We open on a spooky looking dilapidated castle, crumbling in the middle of, either mist or swamp I don't know which. A ghost pulls out a telescope and creates one of the strangest images I've seen in a while. I then have to eat my words as we see the gang sailing (another goddam boat) with Scooby Doo floating just above the deck. Also Velma looks like she only has one tooth. A racist demon levitates a pimento olive. Are they even on the sea? Yeah, not happy.

Mockery Machine: S202: Mystery Mask Mix Up

http://mockerymachine.blogspot.com/2014/02/s202-mystery-mask-mix-up.html

Friday, 28 February 2014. S202: Mystery Mask Mix Up. We open on a vaguely Asian inspired temple. Full of bats. Just chock full of bats. China is full of bats. Inside two shifty looking dudes are kowtowing to a giant gold statue of Buddha with his crotch on fire. This is also clearly not Buddha. I don't know who this guy is supposed to be. Go Go Power Racist! The worshippers reveal their faces and it turns out they're like. ghost apes or something? Seriously what the hell is going on here. They don't ever...

Mockery Machine: 02: A Clue for Scooby-Doo

http://mockerymachine.blogspot.com/2011/05/02-clue-for-scooby-doo.html

Friday, 6 May 2011. 02: A Clue for Scooby-Doo. After the psychedelic opening theme, we are greeted with a glowing full moon. The camera pans down to a beach where glowing radioactive looking footprints grace the sand. We pan again to see what appears to be a diver caught in seaweed. Should we help him? We already know he's not a real Ghost Diver, and there's no one for him to fool, so why he covered he's even pretending to be a ghost now is a mystery. Yeah, great location Fred. You serial killer. In anot...

Mockery Machine: 08: Foul Play in Funland

http://mockerymachine.blogspot.com/2011/06/08-foul-play-in-funland.html

Sunday, 19 June 2011. 08: Foul Play in Funland. We open on a beach during the day, which is new, and pan to the gang searching for clams. This is something that turns up pretty often in episodes of 'What's New Scooby Doo? I think clams might be the only thing keeping the gang from starving. They're all so exited! There's then a discussion about how much Scooby hates clams and how they send Shaggy into some kind of religious extacy. Look at him, he loves clams so much it's making him orgasm hard. Which it...
