Blessings from the Woods. Thursday, June 25, 2009. What Should I Blog About Today? Oh Me, Oh My, What Should I Blog About Today? Should I blog about the crane at the pond? Or the goldfinch at the spring, contemplating a cold drink? Or maybe about some of the pretty blooms in my yard? Like my lovely sunset orange rose, that I just planted this spring? Or the beautiful, tropical hibiscus, that is putting on a show now? Of course, their Nana loves to see pictures of them! Or should I blog about the weather?

We live by FAITH and NOT by SIGHT. Monday, January 19, 2009. Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr King was a man of rare greatnesss and he truly deserves respect and honor from each of us. He paved the road for race relations to get to where they are today. Are race relations perfect today? Of course not. But, they are much better than they used to be. Dr King literally gave his life for a dream that he had, a hope for all of us, . a dream, a hope, a cause that was so much bigger than just himself.

Blessings from the Woods. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. The Refugee Camp Princess- Lives on at Story House! Guess who this is? Yes, it's me at age of 16, wearing my dancing clothes and shoes! Dancing was my life back in the good old, nifty fifties! Dancing helped me forget that just a couple of years before, I had been living in a refugee camp, as a DP girl of World War II. Na-Na's Cozy Kitchen: Happy Birthday Elvis!
http://lesleyworld.blogspot.com/2009/01/happy-birthday-elvis.html
We live by FAITH and NOT by SIGHT. Thursday, January 8, 2009. Today is Elvis Presley's birthday. He would have been 74 years old today. Wow. Is it just me, or is it impossible to imagine Elvis being 74? My sister and I grew up listening to his music. Our mom is, simply put, an Elvis fanatic. Apparently, it's genetic because I am STILL a huge Elvis fan! The excitement of the concert and seeing Elvis with my own eyes and hearing his voice live is something I will always remember! What an incredible show!
