The times and travels of una ragazza a Roma e in Europa. Thursday, October 11, 2007. We were taken to the pottery lab to explore the post-excavation work that is done on sherds found around Rome. There we met with an expert who explained the fabrics of pottery from various regions and told us that the post excavation work takes almost ten times as long as the fieldwork for most digs. The abundance of pottery remains in Rome (and anywhere for that matter) is due to their enduring nature; they can not be m...

The times and travels of una ragazza a Roma e in Europa. Sunday, October 21, 2007. Una Festa del Cioccolato. Chocolate rocks my world. Thanks to the Italian Culture Club, a bus of AUR students was able to go to the EuroChoc Festival. I have never seen so much chocolate in my life. After taking the ChocoTrain. And over 20 other nations. So with bags in hand and chocolate in my stomach, I got back on the Chocotrain and returned to Rome. Click the picture link below for more photos. Una Festa del Cioccolato.

Sunday, October 25, 2009. Going to a Dinner Party Where Formal Attire and a Single Utensil Are Required? For men, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT wear a formal white dinner jacket. I don't care what its called, its just not practical (for one, see the above sauce warning)! And besides, its out of place unless you're attending a dinner party on a yacht (like P Diddy does here in 2008 for Roberto Cavalli's annual Cannes Yacht Party - he's pictured with the host because he knows the rules);. Now, for the single ute...

The King of Kensington. Living the good life in small town Montgomery County. Wednesday, July 29, 2009. The title of this post was a typo, but I left it to show you how clever I am to combine the words fishing and kensington. KoK is on a brief sumnmer vacation, with limited internet access, but will resume soon! Friday, July 24, 2009. Close Enough: Chevy Chase View. Occasionally I'll publish articles about non-Kensington stuff, and call it "Close Enough." Get it? I'm witty like that. One really odd thing...
