Marty DeVietti's XC Paragliding and Racing Blog. Friday, February 19, 2016. Day 5 tour 2. Today looked fine, but I woke tired and was hoping to follow up my big flight yesterday with another. It would be short. The horse liked like I felt. Nonetheless I hauled my solo wing to the top and prepped for a long day ahead. I have been using Honey Stinger energy gel bites as my in flight food of choice but opted to try and snack on salted peanuts today as an experiment. Laundry complete and shower too. Ahhh.

Breakfast included fresh fruit, some sort of open face tamale, croissants with ham and cheese hiding inside and fresh juice that I couldn't identify. Leaf cutter ants have decimated the tree next to the stairs at launch. They walk past the steps in a constant stream carrying little green leaf parts back to their lair. Awesome to watch. Matt Henzi dropped by from Roldanillo.

Marty DeVietti's XC Paragliding and Racing Blog. Wednesday, January 27, 2016. T-minus 4 days and counting. It was this time last year that I was fortunate enough to get to go and guide with Eagle Paragliding in Colombia, and I'm going again! We have three sold out week long tours back to back in the paragliding hot spot known as Roldanillo Colombia. As I pack up my gear, our dog Sam marks it by rubbing his face on it so I can take his smell with me. Nice! Gliding tandem in Santa Barbara.
