Diary of a Quilt Maven

Thursday, August 6, 2015. Free Form Ice Dyeing. I don't know what anyone else would call it but that's what I am going to. I am beyond thrilled with the results. In hindsight my only regret is I wished the piece of fabric had been bigger. Because I absolutely love it. The big question now is what to do with it. Before I dyed the piece I was thinking about making a bunting. But now I'm not so sure. A bag perhaps? What would you make? Links to this post. Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Diary of a Quilt Maven: Faux Cathedral Windows Pincushion Tutorial

http://diaryofaquiltmaven.blogspot.com/2013/01/faux-cathedral-windows-pincushion.html

Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Faux Cathedral Windows Pincushion Tutorial. Well here it is.a tutorial for one of my favorite techniques.Faux Cathedral Windows. This method is very different from the traditional method. It is done from beginning to end by machine and uses a fraction of the fabric needed when doing the traditional method. It is a great method for beginners as it is a simple straightforward process. Yet engaging enough for the long quilter too. 8) 2 1/2" squares for "frames". Repeat this step...

Fleur's place: A LIFE OF PLENTY

http://fleuretteellis.blogspot.com/2015/04/a-life-of-plenty.html

Thursday, April 9, 2015. A LIFE OF PLENTY. I trust everyone had a wonderful Easter. We spent the day at this quaint hotel in Bothas Hill. The Chantecler Hotel. We had lunch in the Zebra room, delicious food, and we were entertained by a lovely singer Sandy Lawrence. The kiddies enjoyed a Easter egg hunt. Will definitely visit again. Here is my quilt top. Its now on my d/w. I look at it everyday and can't decide whether to hand quilt or machine quilt it. April 10, 2015 at 7:31 AM. April 10, 2015 at 8:31 AM.
