Writing Humbug: June 2008
http://writinghumbug.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Friday, 20 June 2008. It's been a record breaking week, sadly only for my commute to work. My 40 minute drive has been extended to:. Tuesday - drive home 1 hour 45. Thursday - drive to work - 2 hours 40. Friday - drive home - 2 hours. Has everyone forgotten how to drive this week? I did finally manage to enter Waterstone's "What's your story? I tried to summon up a winning smile instead, no pun intended! Friday, 13 June 2008. I wonder if there's a lazy blogger award? It's days like that, that stay with y...

Writing Humbug: Ahhhh
http://writinghumbug.blogspot.com/2010/02/ahhhh.html
Tuesday, 2 February 2010. Whilst all this is whirring around in my head I'm also trying to dredge out the french that lurks within. I've booked a trip to Epernay in the summer, to do five days of champagne tasting. I can't wait! Four of us are sharing an astonishingly cheap apartment and have to make some tricky decisions. The owner wants to know what brand of champagne we'd like waiting in the fridge. Why is it we write at our best whilst wearing our dressing gowns! 3 February 2010 at 08:10. That sounds...

Writing Humbug: Just a few more books...
http://writinghumbug.blogspot.com/2009/06/just-few-more-books.html
Monday, 8 June 2009. Just a few more books. Oh dear. I've succumbed to the evil movie making website. Resistance is futile. The little people get you in the end! Are you sure you should be let loose with DIY - considering your um, clumsiness track record? And will shelves solve your book problem? Maybe more therapy is needed:-). 8 June 2009 at 13:04. Good point, definitely not safe with shelves. Maybe a nice pile of (new) books would be useful to rest my foot on though. Very sore toes! And by that I mean...

The Write Eye: The Closed Door of Opportunity
http://annieye.blogspot.com/2010/04/closed-door-of-opportunity.html
A snapshot of the life of a wannabe writer working full-time. My Works in Progress. Monday, 5 April 2010. The Closed Door of Opportunity. Any parent of grown-up children will tell you: they are all. And the 50 year old who finally decides she is going into teaching? I just hope the politicians listen to all the parents and grandparents, who really do understand the unpredictability of a child's educational progress. Im writing a first draft at the moment and loving it. I do have a vague synopsis and ...

The Write Eye: NaNoWriMo Day Three
http://annieye.blogspot.com/2009/11/nanowrimo-day-three.html
A snapshot of the life of a wannabe writer working full-time. My Works in Progress. Tuesday, 3 November 2009. I was at a late Council meeting last night (didn't get home until 9.45 pm). I got up at 6.30 am this morning and managed around 500 words, but now it's nearly lunchtime and I'd forgotten it was fat club today, so won't even be able to knock out another couple of hundred at lunchtime. Then I've got another evening meeting tonight. This is so unfair! Best of luck. x. 3 November 2009 at 18:03. Likes...

The Write Eye: 50k words in a month
http://annieye.blogspot.com/2009/11/50k-words-in-month.html
A snapshot of the life of a wannabe writer working full-time. My Works in Progress. Monday, 30 November 2009. 50k words in a month. I made it. (Novel is nowhere near complete, though). It needs a ruthless edit too. I loved it. It was hard at times, especially when I was busy with work, but on the whole it was very enjoyable. Congratulations to everyone else who did NaNoWriMo, whether you made it to 50k words or not. It's the taking part that counts, not the winning. 30 November 2009 at 19:27. Likes: watc...

http://annieye.blogspot.com/2009/11/rocket-stickers-moon-and-millbrook.html
A snapshot of the life of a wannabe writer working full-time. My Works in Progress. Thursday, 26 November 2009. Rocket Stickers, The Moon and Millbrook School. Granny,' said Tyler, 'I really did get a rocket sticker and now it's lost.'. His eyes were full to the brim and his bottom lip was quivering. 'Daddy said it was just a dream, but it's not, Granny.'. I didn't,' retaliated Tyler under his breath as he pulled on his grey, school socks. 'It said well done. For knowing my numbers.'. Something tells me ...

The Write Eye: Blog Takeover Day
http://annieye.blogspot.com/2010/01/blog-takeover-day.html
A snapshot of the life of a wannabe writer working full-time. My Works in Progress. Friday, 1 January 2010. THOMAS FRISBY JEFFSON (1878-1971). Hey …. don’t go away! Please stay and listen to what I have to say. I know it doesn’t sound too good, so far, but there is a reason I am such such a horrible character. It isn't all my fault, you know! When I was sixteen, I wasn't a bad lad. B. So, I suppose you are wondering where it all went wrong? His mother, Mary, always made me welcome in their home. I liked ...
