Following is additional information about the specific trees. 8211; Terebinth (Pistacia terebinthus). The tree is also called ‘turpentine tree’, native to the Mediterranean region. http://meandmymouse.blogspot.com/2009/04/poem-gate-of-year.html
Me and my Mouse, we will serve the LORD. Friday, 10 April 2009. Poem "The Gate of the Year". I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year. Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown.'. And he replied, 'Go into the darkness and put your hand into the hand of God. That shall be to you better than light and safer than a known way! The complete version of the poem you can read in the "Pomegrante Seeds" blog. Minnie Haskins was astonished to hear her poem being read by the King. And again...

Called to Write: Observe the Time of Their Migration...

Me and my Mouse, we will serve the LORD. Wednesday, 1 April 2009. Observe the Time of Their Migration. Until the end of April, impressive flocks of white and black storks, spoonbills, honey buzzards and even Pelicans can be seen soaring high in Israeli skies. Taking advantage of the updrafts produced when the wind blows over hills and mountain ridges, or making use of rising columns of warm air called ‘thermals’, they preserve precious energy by not having to flap their wings. The magnitude and timing of...

Called to Write: November 2007

Me and my Mouse, we will serve the LORD. Wednesday, 7 November 2007. The plane prepares to land at Stockholm Airport. From my window seat I spot the spreading forests below, glad to see that in Sweden autumn has begun. Huge patches of golden brown light up between dark areas of evergreens. The early morning sun lights up the scene, turning the yellow into gold. The dark grey, heavy clouds promising rain make the contrast even more beautiful. I sigh deeply. What a place! Me and my Mouse, we will serve the LORD. Tuesday, 24 February 2009. Bumblebee colonies have a yearly cycle, except for tropical species, where year-round colonies are known to survive for more than one year, due to the fact that there are year-round flowers available. While the bumblebee queen broods the eggs like a bird, she replenishes her energy by drinking from the nearby honey pot. Through the bare patch on her abdomen she passes her body heat to the clump of wax-covered eggs. The larvae (wh...Anoth...

Me and my Mouse, we will serve the LORD. Monday, 17 November 2008. Nowadays, many writers have blogs in which they express their hopes, dreams and frustration. I once read about a writer who didn't want to use the blog to rant about her supposed lack of inspiration, or her wonderful exploits of that day - "Got in 20.000 words". I thought this was a great idea, and decided to follow suit - in English and in Dutch. (There's a seperate Dutch blog now.). Feel free to leave your comment! Essence of Rock Blog.

Me and my Mouse, we will serve the LORD. Monday, 28 April 2008. Levonah" - the Caper. This is an expert of my latest book about Huram-Avi and Solomon's Temple). Zebudah and Huram enjoyed Jerusalem’s evening coolness. 8220;You’re not cold? 8221; Zebudah worriedly tightened the shawl around Huram’s shoulders. He looked tired and drawn. She gently pressed the limp hand resting in his lap. Zebudah walked to a shrub growing from a crack in the wall. “The levonah is blooming tonight.”. 8220;Oh, Zebudah! With s...
