Christmas music playing, and Jairus telling me jokes fills the room. We are have hot cocoa in our hands with candy canes slowly desolving into the rich liquid. I love this time of year. The creamy hot chocolate spiked with peppermint coats our bellies. The heat kicks on, a constant reminder of the barbaric cold just outside our door.

As for me and mine, we will serve the Lord. September 19, 2009. Crazy to think Tim will be home in a little less than 2 months. He will be leaving for 6 weeks or so at the beginning of the year, but he will make it home for Thanksgiving! Jairus is growing to be an interesting mix of Tim and I. He LOVES books, and we usually read 30 minutes to an hour a day. Like Tim, he enjoys figuring things out. Jairus is loud at home, and sometimes other places. He is turning into quite the joker! Friday, April 6, 2012. We went to Antalope Island in the Great Salt Lake a few weeks ago for Dan to help pace his friend in the Buffalo 100 miler. We had a great time with the exception of Tyler getting sick with a bad stomach bug. Dan ran 22 miles - the last of the race. The best part was seeing all the buffalo!
