I also broke my shower recently which was the icing on the cake of anxiety. That along with a couple other little things made me miss my dad this week. I don't miss the endless lecture I would be receiving about my unemployment though. I suppose the self-imposed stress is bad enough anyway.

I think we're still figuring out what things would look like but I'm so appreciative of her wisdom, her patience, and her understanding. There's no one who wants the best for me the way she does. Not that I care to make it super private. Anyhow. My dad was diagnosed with late stage lung cancer a few months ago. It's surreal in the sense that you know sickness and death are upon each and every one of us but you're never really prepared for what that looks like. You're also never prepared for how you might react.
