March 30, 2014. 9 day vaca, with only one day not jam-packed! Our kind of fun! 1st stop: St. Augustine Florida, the oldest inhabited city in America. Next stop: Kennedy Space Center. So Kennedy was way, way more than I was expecting. I thought one building, and a tour, right? 5 hours should be good. Umm no. Try more like 10 buildings, 2 Imax movies, a tour that takes like an hour and takes you to another building exhibit in the middle of that. It's expensive too. Glad we went though. Touching a moon rock.

July 3, 2015. It's been a busy summer to say the least. We rented an RV to kick off the summer, and set to exploring places we hadn't seen up north in Alaska. Talkeetna, Denali, Fairbanks, and North Pole. Throwing rocks in the Susitna River at the end of town, with views of Mt Denali. Mommy I found a rock for my collection. 6 1/2 hour shuttle tour. Dall sheep close up! Back on the road. 2 am, still light. River cruise on a paddleboat. Musher's sled dog kennel. 4th of July weekend. Me: What did you find?

July 5, 2015. Got stuck in Cali for a few days trying to catch a military flight from a military base to ours up here in Alaska. Luckily we had a rental car so we could have some fun! July 5, 2015. 4th of July weekend. Holy gorgeous Alaskan midnight sunset! This was at 3:30am, but more North rather than West. Maybe the sunrise on the horizon? One of my kiddos woke me up for something, and I peeked out the window again. We had fireworks bans up here due to the large number of wildfires, so we found other things to do! Hiking around a place called Echo lake. Kayaking fun with friends from church. Patriotic playground on base- in honor of the 4th of July. We did our own face painting.

May 27, 2015. Color run and dance recital. Armed Forces 5k Color Run. We went a the last minute, and had our first family run! The boys had been at a father's and son's campout the night before, and I was debating going with Claire as it was just up the road and hadn't started yet, but still don't love to run (though I know it's good for me). They pulled in the driveway and I told them to hurry and change and get back in the car! We had a blast together. Guess who fell asleep during it. May 19, 2015.

Monday, September 29, 2008. This week in pet news. So we've sort of adopted a new dog. Giving it a trial run at least. Meet Lance:. We had rats for a little while. They made good pets, but Tammie had a very bad allergy to them. Once their novelty wore off they pretty much got ignored too. We also had hermit crabs, which just hide during the day and eat at night. They aren't a whole lot of fun so the kids quickly got bored of them. Sold them on Craigslist. Will this dog work out?
