Sammy (ES2007S): August 2008
http://sammyes2007s.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 30, 2008. The following is a summary of some ideas and methods suggested in the two reference books. I agreed it is a bit long, hopefully you find some ideas useful. As a summary, to resolve a conflict one needs to be always creative while looking for solutions, be prepared for unexpected outcomes and always control the anger. Finally, one should always tackle the problem from the right angle (level). I witnessed the incident below during my summer holiday’s full time job. B thought that...

http://angeline-es2007s.blogspot.com/2008/09/intercultural-experience-in-ang-kor-wat.html
I sparkle, so do you. Saturday, September 27, 2008. Intercultural Experience in Ang Kor Wat. During the holiday in July, I went to. For a 2-weeks trip. As part of the trip, I visited Ang Kor Wat (. While my friend and I were resting at a drink stall, this little Cambodian girl approached us with a small pile of tourist guidebooks. She suggested us to buy a few guidebooks about. My friend showed our book to her to indicate that we need not buy from her. She did not give up, and went on promoting other...

talk show on mute: Blog for ES2007S
http://talkshowon-mute.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
My sisters and I. MY OTHER BLOGGING BUDDIES. So you don't know where you're going, and you want to talk. And you feel like you're going where you've been before. You tell anyone who'll listen but you feel ignored. Nothing's really making any sense at all. Let's talk, let's talk. Let's talk, let's talk. Lyrics from Talk, by Coldplay-. Friday, September 26, 2008. 15 minutes passed. No signs of more people coming. When we boarded the bus 15 minutes earlier. Suddenly, he walked towards us and held out a list...

Saturday, September 27, 2008. Cultural Differences: Is it safe to cross the zebra crossing? I have studied in Singapore for almost 2.25 years now and from the time I spend in Singapore, I noticed that people in Singapore strictly follow rules. This may not be interesting for some but for me who came from my little island, Penang, it is definitely a new cultural experience. For example, in Singapore, when you use the zebra-crossing to cross the road, cars actually STOP for you! Saturday, September 6, 2008.

http://wangjunyen.blogspot.com/2008/10/looking-back.html
Saturday, October 11, 2008. I am glad to announce that our project is nearing its completion! With the main part behind us, all that is left to would be checking for language and format details. Allow me a brief moment of relaxation. With a BIG sigh of relief of course :. Since I have little exposure to other "worlds" I was quite daunted when Brad show us how the report format would be. I kept thinking: that shouldn't be acceptable, the labeling is wrong, shouldn't it be this way? I guess in a way this i...

Saturday, August 30, 2008. I must admit JX was in a difficult position since he had to do the unpleasant task of selecting people for duty. Perhaps there is a better way of handling this type of situation. What will you do if u were placed in such a situation? Hi Wei Kwan,. August 31, 2008 at 9:31 AM. That seems like a good idea! A world without boundaries: How an engineer thinks and why I am beginning to dread it
http://world-without-boundaries.blogspot.com/2008/10/how-engineer-thinks-and-why-i-am.html
Sunday, October 12, 2008. How an engineer thinks and why I am beginning to dread it. It seems that our way of thinking has become more analytical and systematic and sometimes we often joked about how we can draw comparisons between us and the way a robot thinks :D. Let me try my best to explain how an engineer would probably think. For example, one is tasked to design a bicycle and bring it into mass production. So these are the thoughts that will probably go through his mind. How can we analyze our repo...

A world without boundaries: Wei Kwan's biodata
http://world-without-boundaries.blogspot.com/2008/10/wei-kwans-biodata.html
Saturday, October 18, 2008. Dear Wei Kwan,. I would really like to listen to your productions. Your biodata has really followed the KISS technique - Keeping It Short and Simple and has encompassed all the necessary elements! October 19, 2008 at 4:31 AM. Hi Wei Kwan,. As a biology student, the phrase "marine industry" reminds me of fishery and diving etc. Are you referring to work related to offshore oil? How is that marine except for the fact that it is offshore? Sorry if I sound stupid =P). There are ma...
