Exploring Singapore and beyond. Wednesday, 29 July 2015. An audience with the King. of Fruits. It's hard to tell whether the Durian is loved or loathed, for as many that say they love the fruit to bits, there is seemingly an equal number that wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot (or more) pole. Exploring Singapore and beyond. Tuesday, 27 January 2015. When we were asked along to Burns Night supper at The Trenchard Arms by Expat Adventures in Singapore. We simply couldn't refuse! A Burns Night supper is held annually (on or around 25 January) to celebrate the life and the poetry of a Scotsman by the name of Robert Burns. As this was our first Burns Night supper, the whole traditional affair was quite mesmerising. The Haggis is presented. The blessing of the Haggis then starts:. The Black Watch S...

Where's the Next Adventure? UK - Singapore - UK, currently based in Edinburgh. Expat Adventures in Singapore. Wednesday, 30 November 2016. In-between all the up-to-date posts I'm sharing I'm still playing catch up on some that are hideously outstanding, this one about our visit to HMS Belfast being just one of those! Where's the Next Adventure? UK - Singapore - UK, currently based in Edinburgh. Expat Adventures in Singapore. Thursday, 8 December 2016. The Scott Monument, Edinburgh. The top of the monument. The monument was completed and inaugurated in 1846, as I mentioned sadly after the death of its designer. We were able to spot a landmark in this view just along from where we live.

We've been back in the UK now about six months and after sharing my thoughts about being back after a month. View over my new home. There are also a number of other good things too that have definitely helped and even though there are still some bad points I've noticed that these do tend to be balanced by the good. Do I still miss Singapore? What did you do in Singapore?

Where's the Next Adventure? UK - Singapore - UK, currently based in Edinburgh. Expat Adventures in Singapore. Wednesday, 23 November 2016. It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas. As switch ons go it was certainly a little more impressive than anything I've encountered before, with fireworks, carols and of course the lights. It was quite lovely to catch it all at just the right time and certainly got me feeling just a little bit festive. Taken just a little earlier in the afternoon. Take a look here.
