Farm Share the Love. A journey through time with two first-time farm sharers. June 4, 2011. June 8, 2011. And some whipped cream for the berries. A few other items made it into my hands, causing the goat cheese to fall on the ground several times as I proceeded to the register. Finally I made it through, and got home in time to prepare myself for my first Vinyassa Class at Down Dog. 1 Preheat your broiler. 2 Place pitas on a baking sheet, and spread a few dribbles of olive oil on top. June 2, 2011. 1 lb ...

Farm Share the Love. A journey through time with two first-time farm sharers. Day 2 – Coffee Dilemma. February 23, 2012. Coffee is something that I drink every day. Usually, I’ll have about 2-3 cups of coffee at work each morning. (Don’t worry, we have a half-caff policy at work.) Along with my love of coffee, is my love of half and half, which unfortunately for me, comes from a cow. For lunches this week, I made a “Super Foods” salad with wheat berries. I hope you like it! Eating out and other dilemmas.. « Farm Share the Love

Farm Share the Love. A journey through time with two first-time farm sharers. Eating out and other dilemmas. March 5, 2012. Lent seems to be going pretty smoothly around here. It’s weird because I thought I would be dying for a piece of cheese, but really I haven’t even thought about it. Not craving cheese makes me happy because I’m not ready to enter the world of vegan cheese product. Something about soy cheese kinda weirds me out. Which provides a listing of vegetarian/vegan restaurants, groceries, bak...

It’s hard to believe this handsome devil turned 1 yesterday! The rescue organization estimated his birthday to be July 24, so that is the day we are celebrating. Look how much he has grown! Jackson’s favorite toy is the Wubba. From Kong, so we made sure to get him one of those! He was so little and cute! I plan to be back soon with a garden update. We’ve been getting lots of delicious produce from it this summer. July 25, 2014. I’m Sara. Welcome to Naptown Love! Follow Blog via Email. Top Posts and Pages.

There was zero clearance so we had to rock it back and forth for a while before we could get it to pop off the track (hoping the whole time not to rip the drywall, which thankfully stayed intact! Painting the Kitchen Part II. And at long last….I present to you the kitchen! I know it’s been a long break….grad school has been dominating my life for the past couple months, but the semester is nearing the end end and things are lightening up. I’m so happy to finally share our kitchen. We are so pleased with how it turned out. We painted the walls Wedgwood Grey by Benjamin Moore and the trim was painted BM Simply White in a semi-gloss. And this short handle angle brush. While my mom rolled the ceilings.

Farm share stories
Saturday, November 17, 2012. Inspired by the Boston Globe Magazine's Roasted Punched Potatoes. Recipe probably paywalled), I smashed my own potatoes. (Upon reviewing the magazine photo, it seems I punched mine rather less genteely than the recipe called for.). If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't smash the potatoes quite so flat, for more fluffy soft potato between the crispy bits. I ate mine plain, but either ketchup or baked potato toppings (sour cream, cheese, bacon, chives) would be nice. Cider i...

Farm Share the Love
Farm Share the Love. A journey through time with two first-time farm sharers. March 6, 2012. Call me crazy but I am currently obsessed with quinoa. I think it has something to do with the fact that in Ecuador, they put quinoa in everything. Yogurt, cake, soups, breads, it’s so versatile, and so healthy. 🙂. For my first week back in the States, on the processed-free diet, I figured there was no better choice than quinoa. First recipe–stuffed peppers. On to the recipe:. 2 large yellow bell peppers. I was ...

Ideas, recipes, and resources for people who love, or aspire to love, their CSA. Week 5: Pie, anyone? June 23, 2014. I debated for several weeks whether or not to buy a fruit share, and one look at the little fruit box with rhubarb and strawberries this week and my mouth was watering. Although there may not be enough for a big pie, something tasty will come out of that flavor combination! From top right: green leaf lettuce, rhubarb, asparagus, snap peas, garlic scapes, kohlrabi, strawberries, more lettuce.
