Random Thoughts of AMW: October 2012
http://amwrandomthoughts.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Random Thoughts of AMW. Tuesday, October 16, 2012. A few weeks ago, we attended the State Fair of Virginia. I was so looking forward to this for several reasons, one of the main ones was to meet a blogging friend! I was so excited to meet Cynthia from Home Matters 1st. Fame, but I'll get to that in a few. There were fun sights to see and just your traditional fair setting. It was a nice warm late September day. There were Lions and Tigers and Bears, OH MY! And there was food. Yummy, yummy food! Not all o...

http://fromcalculustocupcakes.blogspot.com/2012/09/foodie-friends-friday-13.html
From Calculu to Cupcake. Thursday, September 20, 2012. Foodie Friends Friday #13. Welcome back to Foodie Friends Friday! This week we are doing something a little different. Our sponsor, Daiya Foods, has provided coupons for their vegan cheese for our give away, and we have created vegan recipes using their cheese. You should really try this cheese. It tastes like dairy cheese, and even melts! This week the coupons will not only go to bloggers, but also to readers! I made. They were yummy! Jodie at Binom...

A Story: Semolina Bread | Trumping the Tart
https://trumpingthetart.wordpress.com/2012/07/16/a-story-semolina-bread
A tale of tasty trials. A Story: Semolina Bread. Much like a cheap mystery novel where you read the beginning, scan the middle, and finish the end, is my story with the Semolina bread. 8220;It’s dead.”. 8220;No, it can’t be–just give it time.”. 8220;The water was hotter than a hot tub and it is still not foaming. I’m telling you, it…is…dead.”. Not trusting Jessica’s opinion, I remove myself from my window seat and peer into the metal bowl she is holding. The yeast is indeed dead. How about some salt?

Home Matters 1st: March 2012
http://homematters1st.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 23, 2012. I have been pulling weeds the past couple of days. I wish I had been sewing, but there are certain things that have to be taken care of first. I am not fond of pulling weeds. I don't mind the dirt under my fingernails. I don't mind the monotony of pulling weeds, in fact, I find it rather zen like. What bothers me about weed pulling is what I must look like to our neighbors. Yeah, that's right, I worry about what the neighbors think when they see me. Hope you have a good one! I hav...

Home Matters 1st: May 2012
http://homematters1st.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 22, 2012. I only have a few minutes to post. My Mother arrived late yesterday afternoon and brought with her a case of bronchitis. So our plans of touring and shopping are being changed. Of course, tomorrow we will celebrate The Baby turning 21! Where does the time go? The Thai Inspired Kohlrabi Coleslaw was great. I made a few changes to the recipe in order to use up some of our CSA produce. I encourage you to try the recipe and also to visit Spicie Foodie. Thai Inspired Kohlrabi Coleslaw.

Home Matters 1st: Quick Post
http://homematters1st.blogspot.com/2012/10/quick-post.html
Monday, October 15, 2012. I have been cleaning up some of the loose ends in my studio and thought I would share a photo or two. I love the color and look forward to finishing it up. I have one little area to paint, but need Big's help and she is out of town (again). While moving things around, I came across this photo of the baby. She and I used to live in a little "shot gun" duplex. As you can see, we had built in shelves and The Baby, loved to crawl in them and play. Isn't she a cutie? Painting is on m...
