Mimi @ WEL: Going into Overdrive
http://mimiatwel.blogspot.com/2008/07/going-into-overdrive.html
Monday, July 14, 2008. I checked out Overdrive media, our downloadable digital audio book collection. I was sad that they weren't seperated into juvenile and adult, and sad that a good portion of my (heavily sci-fi and fantasy related) to-be-read list wasn't on there and also sad that I couldn't put the book onto my i-pod. Still, I found The Host. Labels: 23 things week 9. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Are you there blog? Librarian of the Wastes. Werewolf in the Workroom.

Monday, June 30, 2008. Ok Here it goes. I actually tried doing this for my second post but well, youtube removed the video I had posted, probably because it took forever to load. Here is the original video I had posted:. It's the teaser trailer for Twilight. I loved the book. I can't wait to see the movie. I am too excited. There are no words. Labels: 23 things week 9. For the web 2.0 exploration exercise, I explored Upcoming. Facebook is more user-friendly and fun than Myspace, in my humble opinion....

This is one of my favorite all time YouTube vidoes. I love music covers. I also love poetry. There are tons of excellent poems you can hear on YouTube, which could make a really cool library program. There is a fantastic series of videos created by JWTNY. Check this one out. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Tube of You.

Somewhere under the rainbow...: The Web 2.0 Winnowing
http://kidsbookspusher.blogspot.com/2008/06/web-20-winnowing.html
A blog for chronicling my 23 things experiences and reading recommendations of the moment, along with occasionally random library things. Friday, June 27, 2008. The Web 2.0 Winnowing. So I was researching a potential program I want to do on Science Projects and Graphing and came across an excellent site that makes it fairly easy for anyone to make a graph (it's much easier than Excel, but still requires a minimal understanding of how graphs work). The steady downtrend makes me wonder whether it was somet...

A blog for chronicling my 23 things experiences and reading recommendations of the moment, along with occasionally random library things. Saturday, June 28, 2008. In My Best Strong Bad TGS Voice. I feel strongly that there are things I've been reticent to explore on my own (more from my considerable entropy regarding certain things and fear that they were a waste of time than anything else) that I benefitted from learning about during these exercises. The things I think will be stickiest for me (i.e&...

Mimi @ WEL: Web 2.0 Awards
http://mimiatwel.blogspot.com/2008/06/web-20-awards.html
Monday, June 30, 2008. Is a list of some of the 2008 Web 2.0 Award winners. Here is a list of all of the Web 2.0 Award winners I have used or do use now. For the web 2.0 exploration exercise, I explored Upcoming. CareerBuilder and Monster have never been useful to me. I have never found a job on there that matched my interests. Maybe it's because libraries don't necessarily post their openings on these sites, I don't know. I'm just saying that they have never been helpful to me. And GoogleMaps is wonderf...
