Chicken one day, feathers the next. Jun 14, 2012. Please forgive the bragging…). Posted by hikejmt under Becky. Today is the FIRST DAY OF SUMMER! After a rough start with some dissappointing test scores, Catie really applied herself. She worked so hard this year to keep her grades up and manage the strong math and science curriculum (some stuff that I didn’t see till 9th or 10th grade). She made flash cards and even studied with friends at 6:30 am over the phone! We’re thrilled with our principal &...

Chicken one day, feathers the next. Mar 20, 2013. Patio and Stairs Guard Rail. Posted by hikejmt under House. Mar 3, 2013: Paul is back for the day and we’re setting the posts in the concrete. With the soft ground, that is sometimes a challenge. We got all of the posts epoxied into the wall and secured them with stakes, clamps, and plywood. We’ll let them sit for the week to cure. And pricey – $80 – but as it sits down on concrete, we’re using the trex for water resistance. The day was so pretty that Bec...

life with boys
http://winalog.blogspot.com/2011/01/first-week-of-year-and-first-week-i-am.html
Moments of my life with five boys/men and one adorable girl dog. Wednesday, January 5, 2011. The first week of the year, and the first week I am "back". I am trying to find "something to do". Yes, I can work on the piles and piles of items to be filed that line the book shelves of our office. But that is so last year. I could also spend some time on my school volunteer pile. Instead, I am playing with velvet. I am in love with this fabric right now! I just downloaded these two random pics . I will try to...

Moments of my life with five boys/men and one adorable girl dog. Friday, July 30, 2010. Oh sweet, sweet Seby. Turning 11 and into a tween. He is getting bulkier, taller, stinky-er. He is growing up, but still he is my sweet boy and comes into the room saying "Oh, Mama, hugs, Mama hugs" and runs into my arms. For now. He has 5 friends over right now for a sleepover and then paintball in the morning. Slade said tonight "I don't know how many more of these birthdays I have left in me.". We love you Seby weby.

Moments of my life with five boys/men and one adorable girl dog. Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Did I mention Cody was at MCAD for two weeks? First - Aunt Kathy, who loves you baby! Cody did a two week course on Game Design at MCAD (Minneapolis College of Art and Design). He loved it! Besides enjoying all the many hours of work to do game design, he really enjoyed meeting kids his own age (a gaming program he did last summer at Macalester College in St Paul had many younger kids). Moments of my life with five boys/men and one adorable girl dog. Saturday, December 25, 2010. It has been a long time since I've posted on this old blog. My good friend Jonel, and our dear, sweet neighbors, Kim and Pete. If this is new news for you, sorry you had to hear it this way. But if you go to the Caring...

Moments of my life with five boys/men and one adorable girl dog. Friday, September 10, 2010. This is a down and dirty post mostly to put some pics up. We were up at the lake house for Labor Day weekend. We finally worked out schedules so that our dear neighbors, Kim and Pete, could come up for a weekend! We did a caravan traveling to and from and stopped for a meal together for both drives as well. We had a wonderful lunch that they made, out on the grill in the cold! Luckily we all ate inside!

Saturday, September 1, 2012. Gotta make it light. Gotta make it light. Gotta make it light." has been my mantra through three grueling days of sweaty, grit-filled, ear-splitting metal removal. I've moved methodically from nose to tail of the stripped-down car removing EVERY. LITTLE. PIECE. .that isn't absolutely necessary to a race car effort. For the start of this adventure I bought a spot-weld cutter, direct from the highest quality tool merchant available. I also admit to grabbing some of the brackets...
