Kissing the Earth With My Feet: Incision Photos
http://kissingtheearthwithmyfeet.blogspot.com/2014/06/incision-photos.html
Wednesday, June 4, 2014. When I am more upright, I will organize my blog posts to put my chondrosarcoma surgery and recovery posts in chronological order, but for now here are my incision photos. I didn't want to gross everyone out on Facebook. The incision really isn't as bad as it looks. It's covered with dissolving surgical tape, which isn't very well seen in the photos. Larry says it looks really clean. Labels: bad ass scar. June 4, 2014 at 12:51 PM. June 7, 2014 at 6:41 PM. About the name of the blog.

http://kissingtheearthwithmyfeet.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Coming back with an new perspective. But I am a voice and I have much to say. I have been meaning to come back sooner because I knew I wanted to start a blog that was more positive and more enlightened than my last one, but I also wanted to be real and now reality has brought itself to me in a big way. Yesterday, after almost six months of tests and xrays and scans, I was told by an orthopedic oncologist that I have chondrosarcoma. Peace and Namaste, everyone! I was trying to com...

Kissing the Earth With My Feet: November 2014
http://kissingtheearthwithmyfeet.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 28, 2014. Live for those that can't. However, a few things have happened that reminded me that the "I Can't" mentality is bullshit. One is the story of Lauren Hill, the college basketball player with brain cancer. And my reading and eventually viewing of the book and movie, The Fault in Our Stars. When I see the story of Lauren and read the tributes to lost loved ones of sarcoma. Live for me.live for them. This is my vow. My mantra, my goal. Good and bad days. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Kissing the Earth With My Feet: January 2015

Thursday, January 1, 2015. On Not Having New Year's Resolutions. It wasn't easy though. Even with my best intentions, I found myself feeling a bit sorry for myself and allowing myself to not be grateful for what I have. Kissing the Earth With My Feet: January 2014
http://kissingtheearthwithmyfeet.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 17, 2014. On rewards and treating yourself when losing weight. I remember when I first started Sparkpeople a few years ago and I made goals for myself. I added things like "new haircut", "get a spa treatment".you know, little things to look forward to. My last goal was made for when I finally lost all the weight. Like I don't deserve them.like I deserve to be uncomfortable until I hit that magic number. Why do we do this to ourselves? I will dress for the body I have now.I deserve that.
