Our good friend Irene was diagnosed with breast cancer in late June and had a mastectomy in mid-July. She's recovering nicely and will start some additional treatment in 2-3 weeks. The treatment will involve hormone therapy, possibly another surgery and approximately 6 weeks of radiation at Surrey Memorial. This blog has been set up to give all Irene's friends and family a way to keep updated on her health, to share the many ways we can help her, and also to communicate with her.
