From the Frozen Wasteland: Second verse, same as the first
http://fromthefrozenwasteland.blogspot.com/2014/09/second-verse-same-as-first.html
From the Frozen Wasteland. The random thoughts of a man constantly staving off hypothermia and wolves. Second verse, same as the first. That pretty much says it all, doesn't it? The moment the game broke open from a boring 6-0 defensive slugfest into a BYU crushing of Texas. If you look closely, you can see the Texas fans in the background have their hearts broken. From the Frozen Wasteland. The random thoughts of a man constantly staving off hypothermia and wolves. This was far and away my favorite show when I was 6. Sure, the episodes were only 10 minutes long, but they came on every weekday at the end of Square One. And my little sister and I never missed if we could help it. Watching it now, it's fun catching the little inside jokes I completely missed as a kid. "Angelenos know what's important, and are willing to wait for it." HA! January 25, 2014 at 6:18 PM.
From the Frozen Wasteland: Legos
http://fromthefrozenwasteland.blogspot.com/2009/12/legos.html
From the Frozen Wasteland. The random thoughts of a man constantly staving off hypothermia and wolves. For some reason, this Christmas season I am reminded of Legos. From the time I was seven years old until I was 14 or so, I loved Legos. I'd ask for sets for almost every birthday and Christmas. I spent hours playing Legos with my friends and cousins. in my room, in the backyard, running around the neighborhood, at the grandparents'. This is the Spy-Trak I. The Mega Core Magnetizer. Holy smokes was this ...
From the Frozen Wasteland: Today's comic strips are horrible
http://fromthefrozenwasteland.blogspot.com/2008/01/todays-comic-strips-are-horrible.html
From the Frozen Wasteland. The random thoughts of a man constantly staving off hypothermia and wolves. Today's comic strips are horrible. I started getting the Post Register. Yesterday, and for the first time in a long time, I'm reading a physical newspaper every day. Along with this, again for the first time in a long time, I'm reading the comic pages. I hesitate to call them the "funny pages," as they are rarely funny and often make my head hurt with their sheer lack of hilarity. I think the main reaso...

From the Frozen Wasteland. The random thoughts of a man constantly staving off hypothermia and wolves. Washington at BYU prediction. It's tough to predict what will happen in the first game of the season. There are new starters at many positions, and even if you return your quarterback, running back and tight ends (as BYU did last year), things can be very different than you expected. When BYU has not one, but two new starting quarterbacks? New running backs and linebackers? Or freshman Kyle Van Noy.

Terbed: The Retina
http://beckyturbed.blogspot.com/2010/01/retina.html
A blog of random thoughts and photos. Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Every once in a while I get to take photos of something I have not seen before and yesterday I did. I get all dorkily excited and have to hide it from the patients because it always means there is something wrong with their eye. Anyway, these photos are awesome. Had to share. Another Dr refers this 87 year old to our Retina Dr for age-related macular degeneration (AMD). I have taken MANY photos and OCT's of AMD and knew it was not AMD.

A blog of random thoughts and photos. Wednesday, March 24, 2010. I have a lip gloss addiction. I noticed in my purse today that I have 8 things of lip gloss. ( Technically 2 of them are lipstick, but I will just put them in the lip gloss category.). This does not include the lip glosses I have in my bathroom nor the chapstick I carry in my pocket always. Does anyone else have this problem? Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Clouds and 100,000 Miles. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Movies I have recently watched.

http://beckyturbed.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
A blog of random thoughts and photos. Wednesday, February 4, 2009. For the second time this winter it snowed! This being my third winter in Charlotte it is exciting because the last two winters it only snowed once in the winter season. I did get some photos on my way to work to show how little snow we got and even with that there were hardly any people driving on the road. The roads were pretty clear so there was no talk of cancelling work. They did however cancel school, which is great for the kids!
Mass Hysteria: April 2008
http://johngagnon.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 19, 2008. James Blunt is a lyrical marauder. OK, so it's been a long while since my last post, and I'm sure not many people noticed. But here's something that has been bothering me lately:. Traveling from Idaho to Oklahoma recently, my wife and I listened to XM. Radio and endured many a James Blunt song. I have concurred that James Blunt is fooling us all. He's a singer, but certainly not a songwriter. Allow me to illustrate. Here's the first verse of that atrocity:. My life is brilliant.
Mass Hysteria: It's OK; Call Me a Basker
http://johngagnon.blogspot.com/2008/05/its-ok-call-me-basker.html
Sunday, May 25, 2008. It's OK; Call Me a Basker. Is someone that basks in nostalgia known as a nostalgia basker? I don't think that basker is an appropriate noun, but right now I don't care much. Who doesn't get a little bit nostalgic when times change and we move on in life? Maybe Kevin Sorbo, but certainly not for any one. I'm done with my undergraduate work, and thereby done with Comic Frenzy. Often I think that after law school I'll open up an improv comedy club and run my law office out of it (see Ed.
Mass Hysteria: My wife is sick, but I'm pregnant too. I think.

Sunday, June 15, 2008. My wife is sick, but I'm pregnant too. I think. OK, so I don't know where my little peanut of a son or daughter gets it from, but ultrasounds show that our new baby is rhythmically astute. Now, I've seen Kelsi "dance" and those of you who know me know understand that I require two sets of parenthesis when using the term dance, so I'm not sure. Causing uncontrolled nausea fits and a weak bladder. Yet, we're preggers. Which is the endearing term I give my wife. But it's a really happ...

Mass Hysteria: May 2007
http://johngagnon.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 20, 2007. So when two people have a fondness for one another, when is it "robbing the cradle? Imagine saying to your beloved during a road trip: "This song was my senior class' song. Right when it came out, I graduated," he says. "Really? I was 8 when it came out.". The above line is the one you shouldn't cross. So tennis was the lead sports story for the Wall Street Journal. And not out of leisure, but because it takes that long to get through the thing! Posted by John Gagnon. The LSAT is ha...

From the Front Row
Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Review Pacific Rim: Uprising 2018. March 28, 2018. The kaiju battles themselves lack Del Toro’s colorful pop panache, but the film mostly suffers from plot holes big enough to drive a jaeger through. Much of the information gleaned by the characters comes from improbable sources that reek of a written-by-committee script (there are no less than four credited writers) that glosses over basic storytelling elements so the film can hurry up and get to the action. From the Front Row. Movie News, Reviews, and Commentary by Matthew Lucas. November 16, 2008. Posters: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Posted by Matthew Lucas under Uncategorized. It’s another slow news day, so I’m putting up more posters. These have been circling the net for a while, but Awards Daily. Has our first official, high-res glimpse of the posters for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. And I don’t really like them. They’re strangely plain and unattractive. What say you? Wednesday, March 21, 2018. It's the little things that matter. On Thursday, March 8, Mayoral Candidate and current At Large Councilman Alex Bethea opened his Campaign Headquarters at 201 Mulberry Street. This seemed like an odd decision. If the location isn't odd enough, here's another tidbit. Mr. Bethea chose a building where the landlord has been cited for various code violations. As recently as March 6, the property owner was issued summonses. For violating the city housing code. Indicative of your th...

May 6, 2014. Miss Elizabeth, you are already one month old, and I swear time is flying by even fast than it did with Will, which I am certainly not a fan of. So far, you have proven to be. You are nursing great, and the scales definitely show that! That weekend you had been cluster feeding a good bit, and I knew you would be getting really close to 6 pounds, but had no idea you would be over! At one month, she weigh 8 pounds and 1 ounce! Miss Elizabeth, you have expanded our hearts in ways we didn't know...
