Pikes' Place: September 2008
http://pikesplacejl.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 28, 2008. What a poor poster I've been! No pictures, no excitement - nothing. And, to continue my trend, I am going to write a few things weighing on my mind. I think I've traumatized Jayce. I am so sick of the upcoming presidential election. For one thing, I'm not impressed with either candidate, so I'm voting for the lesser of two evils (an option I detest! Because I live in a swing state, I'm surrounded by political ads and activists. Please stop trying to convince me! Life is a blur!

Pikes' Place: January 2008
http://pikesplacejl.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 31, 2008. Sleeping Beauty no more? Once upon a time Jer and I finally felt we had a baby that loved to sleep. Alyssa would practically leap from my arms into her crib without a fight. We were thrilled! Jayce has never been a fan of bedtime, and the sleep issue has been a big struggle with him since the beginning. Our daughter, on the other hand, had made us feel as if we had hit the sleep jackpot. How times have changed! I was barely squeaking by before! Stay tuned. . . What will I do w...

Pikes' Peek: October 2010
http://pikespeekjl.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Just a sanitized glimpse . Saturday, October 9, 2010. Here we go again . . . What could this possibly mean? My house is a disaster. Pike meals are pitiful. I've become a hermitess/an anti-socialite. My kids are hopelessly bored and frustrated with my couch-laying ways. Nausea is a constant companion - LEAVE ME ALONE! Yes, I'm pregnant! Baby is estimated to arrive on April 16 - YES, a spring baby! I've always wanted a spring baby. And a few weeks ago the ultrasound tech was pretty positive we'd be hav...

Pikes' Peek: BFF's
http://pikespeekjl.blogspot.com/2012/06/bffs.html
Just a sanitized glimpse . Wednesday, June 27, 2012. That term annoys me, but I'll use it in Alyssa's honor. When I found out Alyssa was going to be a girl, I was elated yet a little disappointed for Jayce's sake. I figured I'd have the same gender children in clusters like my mom (two girls then four boys), and then they'd all get along and have a playmate. I wasn't sure how this would work. Well, despite my underlying worry, Alyssa came anyway. At least my own are, to me. :). I love all the pictures!

Pikes' Peek: August 2010
http://pikespeekjl.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Just a sanitized glimpse . Sunday, August 1, 2010. Ahh beautiful Bear Lake. We discovered this gem for the Pike Family Reunion in July. Lovely and pristine! Jer and I rented a wave runner for a couple of hours, thinking the kids would be in heaven. Instead, my kids preferred to do this:. Eat Capris Sun juice pouches. Crawl hard and fast into the lake. Play with sand toys and give an evil eye. Jayce enjoyed the eating part and relaxing in the water on the shore line. Why don't I have pictures of him?

Pikes' Peek: Alyssa's Preschool Grad
http://pikespeekjl.blogspot.com/2012/06/alyssas-preschool-grad.html
Just a sanitized glimpse . Thursday, June 14, 2012. Alyssa was SO thrilled to participate in her preschool graduation. Alyssa, in general, is enthusiastic about everything. But throw in a big milestone, and she's especially giddy. Here are some pics from her big night. Brynn didn't know what to think during the performance. She kept approaching Alyssa with a puzzled look. Alyssa and Allie. BFF's! Anyway, Ty insisted on being involved in the performances, even though he was a clueless, non-preschooler....

Pikes' Peek: May 2012
http://pikespeekjl.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Just a sanitized glimpse . Wednesday, May 30, 2012. The Bean, playground fun, and a garden. We enjoyed the Memorial Day weekend in P-Town. Due to inclement weather (so, so chilly! And this little demonstration showed that she really does care - despite her insistence on escaping from me whenever I approach. What kind of mom takes a picture of her pantless son? Shouldn't she be rushing over and putting them back on? Is it really appropriate to document such a moment? Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Alyssa is gra...

Pikes' Place: February 2008
http://pikesplacejl.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 29, 2008. Okay, I'm having a posting lull, but I came across an interesting story about deep-sea fish found off the coast of Antartica. I've always been fascinated by the mysterious fish dwelling on the ocean floor. Once I saw an IMAX movie that mentioned a huge jelly fish type-thing as big as a football field! Do you know how often I think about that? Http:/ www.breitbart.tv/html/50064.html. Monday, February 25, 2008. The fam and me (blondie) . . . . Sunday, February 24, 2008. Steven an...

Pikes' Place: October 2008
http://pikesplacejl.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 28, 2008. I'm back to the blogging world. I have so much to catch up on, but I'm too tired to do it all in one sitting. So tonight I will focus on the St. George trip to Tuachan with the Relief Society sisters (go Somerset ward! Les Mis was wonderful! Fortunately I was a spectator, so only the girls around me noticed my sniffling (thanks to Tricia and Kellie for not openly mocking :) ). I had a blast, and I'm looking foward to other girl jaunts in the future (Wicked, perhaps? We were gon...
