This woman is losing it!: August 2009
http://thiswomanislosingit.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
On holiday.back tomorrow! Links to this post. Friday fever has kidnapped me again. I’ve been bouncing around like Tigger since 6am. Not sure why as it’s not like I’ve got anything wildly exciting planned for the weekend. No, there's nothing else for it, this weekend I must. Do a bit more experimentation in the kitchen. Oh how I'd love to be Captain Janeway on Star Trek Voyager. All she has to do is bellow, “Beef Wellington, hot! Forget bagless hoovers, when are. Links to this post. It doesn’t matte...

This woman is losing it!: October 2009

The bath has leaked through the lounge ceiling, I'm a fairly scary sight in my fat pants and the milk I poured on my cereal this morning had turned. It MUST be Halloween. Links to this post. The 'slack' route to Slimville. To blog every day or not to blog every day, that has been the question on my mind lately. If you're a regular, you'll have noticed I've not been blogging every weekday recently. It might have something to do with The Big Peace. I fully expect the world will keep turning in the meantime.

This woman is losing it!: Cake, hope and charity.
http://thiswomanislosingit.blogspot.com/2010/09/cake-hope-and-charity.html
Cake, hope and charity. Did you know that when you eat cake for charity it has no calories? That's right, none at all. So the yummy slice of chocolate cake I gobbled this morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer S. Upport was particularly enjoyable. What a cracking fundraising idea too. Can't believe I haven't been along to one sooner. Thanks to Fay at Leith Open Space. For tipping me off! Related articles by Zemanta. Men get breast cancer too. Kirsty Gallacher lays bare her regrets. Looking for an old post?

This woman is losing it!: Priorities
http://thiswomanislosingit.blogspot.com/2010/09/priorities.html
Image by National Media Museum. Three more lbs and I'll be RICH! RICH I tell you! It's this change of season you see. The leaves falling, the diminishing hours of daylight, the cold and rain and the inevitable giant gas bill that goes with it. Pardon me if I just can't get thrilled about it. So what's the solution, Bill? Well, apparently, one of the big giant heads on the BBC sofa thinks it'd be a great wheeze if the taxpayer paid the nation's tubbies to lose weight. You know, like cash incentives. Subsc...

Fat lass returns with amnesia. A wild party that required considerable recuperation time? Yes, yes, yes! I have succumbed to all of the above over the past 3 weeks BIG TIME. Apart from the aliens, that is. (Unless you can count folk dressed as boats, Egyptian obelisks or cinemas as aliens? Jury's out on that one.). You'll know when I've done it. You'll be able to hear the screams in Antarctica. All I will say is this. I've enjoyed my wild reprieve so thanks for your patience! Hey, where did that. But I'l...

Saw this product on a facebook ad today. It's a babygrow you sleep in so your fake tan doesn't get all over your sheets. Come get me when the spaceship lands. I want to be there to explain the subtleties of human absurdity to our extraterrestrial guests. No Zorg, they are not children. They are adults in babygrows. Streaky, tangerine-stained adults. And as for why some of us are lardier than others, well I can recommend this blog.". Labels: madness of humans. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

This woman is losing it!: Just as beautiful or missing the point completely?
http://thiswomanislosingit.blogspot.com/2010/10/just-as-beautiful-or-missing-point.html
Just as beautiful or missing the point completely? I'm Just as Beautiful as you, rake face! The launch of Just as Beautiful, the UK's first magazine aimed at 'curvy girls', certainly got the media flapping their bingo wings lately. Very much for validating my existence. What I want to know now is - does the light of the refrigerator door count? Related articles by Zemanta. Just as Beautiful Magazine to Feature Only Plus-Size Models, Ban Dieting Tips. I'm working in my favourite local cafe, j. Ust had a great meeting and I'm now coveting a cinnamon bun. God I love cinnamon buns, in all their stodgy baked loveliness. But I'm not so wild about the calories and fat content. Whoever thought that was a good idea? Why can't lettuce be bad for you, or gherkins or brussel sprouts (the ultimate evil). WHY? Surely that's worth some kind of ingenuity reward, not the punishment of a spare tyre and a fast-track ticket to heart disease? Come here my lovely! And it'...

The power of acting 'as if'. I've read a lot about this acting 'as if' technique. Like acting slim before you are slim, acting confident even when you don't feel it. Supposedly the more you act, the quicker you'll get where you want to be. It means stepping outside your comfort zone. Links to this post. Labels: acting as if. I hate it when I whine and mope. It gives me ugly frown lines and, it appears, stops the pounds falling off. Am I just imagining that? See, what I've been forgetting to do whilst pre...
