Show and tel aviv. Our family adventures in Israel.shalom y'all! Saturday, September 29, 2012. Here are more pics from our recent travels to Istanbul. These are taken from 3 main sights from the old city. First up.the Hagia Sophia. This is a must-see of Istanbul. It was the largest cathedral in the Christian world from 326 until 1453 when the Muslims took it over and made it into a mosque (adding minarets). After WWI, Ataturk made it into a museum. Seriously. What’s not to like about that? 4 The Garden Tomb- A must-see for any visitor to Jerusalem. This is, in my opinion, the antidote to the the over-churched crowded feel of the O...

Show and tel aviv. Our family adventures in Israel.shalom y'all! Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Of all the memories we will have to take with us from this Olmsted experience, this one will certainly stand out. Just before Christmas this past year, Lydia and Will were baptized in the Jordan river, not far from where Jesus himself was baptized by John the Baptist. Lydia was very ready for her big day. Scandalous amount of thigh showing for a baptism but unfortunately I only remembered tights for Lydia. Anoth...

Show and tel aviv. Our family adventures in Israel.shalom y'all! Sunday, December 30, 2012. AKA Walking in a Winter Wonderland. Stop number two on the Welch-Winter-Euro-Extravaganza was Munich, Germany.
