Watching the kids walking to school, new backpacks, new school clothers, yellow school buses: all of that moves us into the new season of our life and our families. The basement is done aside from the carpet on the stairs and 1 room. Words cannot express the amount of work we have done. It has been outstanding. Our kids don't even know which way is up at this point. And their homework is proof. We are a mere month away from having the entire home reno done done and done. Plumbing (last 2 we hired some work on). Lots of tears from mom.

Wednesday, April 6, 2011. Today I spent all day in my pink flannel nightgown. I was not the one who had a baby, but I feel as if I am recovering from having one! Certainly not the physical, birth canal part, but the worn out, staying up with the baby and dopey from lack of sleep part. I stayed with Tara in the hospital with Tara the last 2 and a half days since Scarlett was born. It was our first Mother/Daughter sleepover! I loved being able to be there for Tara, but it took it's toll on me.
