Thursday, 28 March: 17 miles / 7 hours (6 moving). California Redbud (Cercis obiculata) in bloom. Headed into the Pipe Creek drainage. At the Pipe Creek and Colorado River confluence. I still had seven miles of hiking ahead of me however, so I strode away from the urban sprawl of Phantom Ranch and pressed ahead into the Box. Tune back in to find out.
