don't forget the double "e": May 2014
http://christeewithadoublee.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 17, 2014. I've taken a brief detour from my dummy to participate in a little contest, one which involves creating/expanding on a character. I brought back a familiar face, because I ALWAYS wanted to do something with this stinkin' cat ("What 'stinkin' cat'? You might ask- just look to the right of your screen), but I continue to have a block! So maybe this contest is a sign that I should finally refocus my attention on this guy- who I STILL can't find a fitting name for, by the way!

don't forget the double "e": March 2012

Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Drawing from the Model. One of the things I miss most about art school. Is the regular opportunity to draw. From a live model. Often, the models we got to draw were yoga fiends, so they were able to hold some really great poses for up to ten minutes. I would try to get everything down way before the ten minutes were up, though, because I liked changing the model's age and body type to create more than one character. Personality was something I liked to play with, as well.

Victoria Jamieson Illustration: May 2014
http://victoriajamieson-illustration.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Just a little sketch! I grew up in Florida (well, from age 12-18), and it's funny- I didn't appreciate the weirdness of that state until many years later. I wish I had discovered the joy of the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks or the Weeki Wachee Mermaid Springs while I was still a resident. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
