GreytBlackDog: Holistic Cancer Treatment Protocol: Cancer SLOP
http://greytblackdog.blogspot.com/2014/01/holistic-cancer-treatment-protocol.html
Monday, January 13, 2014. Holistic Cancer Treatment Protocol: Cancer SLOP. Cancer SLOP includes as few carbs as possible. And cancer fighting super foods. Most people who feed raw also feed a SLOP mixture of pureed vegetables alongside the meat. I'm no different. After experimenting for a few months, I finally found a go-to recipe that my girls ate without question. This recipe included:. Tuna water or chicken broth. And whatever veggies I had left over from the week. The dog's stomach can't breakdown th...
GreytBlackDog: Digging My New Bed
http://greytblackdog.blogspot.com/2014/01/digging-my-new-bed.html
Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Digging My New Bed. We have dog beds in just about every room in our house. Cheap beds from Walmart. Expensive beds from fancy online places. Homemade beds stuffed with old clothes and monogrammed. Remember the evil Orvis bed. They really should be called fluffy rugs, puffy stain covers, or fancy sit-upons. I may or may not have tested it out while watching a couple of episodes of the Walking Dead this weekend. Someone has to break it in. January 7, 2014 at 5:52 PM. We have a gi...
GreytBlackDog: November 2012
http://greytblackdog.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 24, 2012. Ive taken care of animals for families while they are on vacation since I was a kid. The next door neighbors toy poodle, Muffin, practically became my dog one summer while they traveled to who knows where. The old lady down the street who had 11 cats paid me to clean her 20 litter boxes a couple of times a year. Im not scared of most reptiles - frogs, turtles and lizards are awesome in my book. Snakes are only ok if they dont surprise me and stay nicely in their tank. Now poo...

Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year. There, I think I caught up. Of course I contacted my greyhound Yoda. Dr Hottie let me in on a secret - there was a new vet in town who specialized in chiro and acupuncture and she was going to start seeing patients at his office weekly. We were first on the list, I believe. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). FaceBook is the New Crack. Follow me on Twitter. Greyt Flicks with Greyhounds. Gus Brown and Midnight Brewster. QQs eluded ...
GreytBlackDog: The Curse of the Orvis Dog Beds
http://greytblackdog.blogspot.com/2008/12/curse-of-orvis-dog-beds.html
Monday, December 1, 2008. The Curse of the Orvis Dog Beds. Have you ever been shopping and seen someone wearing something that they are selling in the mall and you think to yourself - "wow, that looks really awesome! You don't really pay much attention to the fact that the person wearing it is 10 years younger and 20 lbs thinner than you are. Those, let's say, leather pants, must be found and must be had. The latest such purchase was a pair of Orvis dog beds. So when the beds arrived, I was disappointed ...

Saturday, April 25, 2009. My month in pictures. There has been so much going on lately so I thought I'd share some of my past month in pictures because of course, the camera travels wherever I do! In late March I went up to D.C. for a conference. of course it was peak cherry blossom time so of course I took a break from conferencing to head across town to enjoy the sights! Some rowers were out taking advantage of the beautiful afternoon. I love those ears! The Iggies got their workout in as well. And som...
Nerice's Nook: September 2009
http://nericenook.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Well, much like everyone else, the dogs and I had a great time at Myrtle Beach this past week. After a few crazy months in my new position it felt so good to just head out of Richmond and get far away from the craziness that life can become when you are bogged down in work. Of course I could now use a vacation to rest from my vacation! Pictures are worth a thousand words so I'll just shut up and share! The beautiful Miss Butters. Roxy and Seka of GreytBlackDog fame. My pare...
Nerice's Nook: March 2009
http://nericenook.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 13, 2009. The next vacation I take in March. Will most definitely be to somewhere warm and tropical! In other words, the exact opposite of where I spent this past week! Not that I didn't have fun, but holy mother of God. It was COLD. Windchills in the negatives. And lots of rain. But there were a few moments of sun that snuck through and so I was able to take the camera out briefly. . The news on Sunday night was saying how Chicago had record breaking rain. go figure! Nemo has been found!

Monday, October 26, 2009. A Greyt Day. FINALLY! Well, after months (literally) of trying, we were finally able to squeeze the GPA Richmond annual membership meeting/picnic in on a day where there was no rain. Having been delayed multiple times since May it was a relief come Sunday morning to wake up to no rain clouds and a good report on the weather channel! It ended up being a beautiful day, perfect for a greyhound gathering. She's looking for a greyt forever home! How can your resist? I live in Richmon...

http://patemarie.blogspot.com/2014/04/grilled-pimento-cheese-sandwiches.html
Sunday, April 13, 2014. Grilled Pimento Cheese Sandwiches. I have seen lots of recipes and mentions of Grilled Pimento Cheese Sandwiches of late so decided to finally make one myself. Oh my - it was delish! A bit rich, I thought, for me - perhaps I put too much Pimento Cheese on my sandwich, but really good! Definitely a "must have" again! Here is the recipe. Grilled Pimento Cheese Sandwiches. 4 ounce Pimento diced and drained. 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. 1 teaspoon Finely chopped onions. Just lovin...

Tuesday, January 07, 2014. Perfect Soup for a Cold Winter's Day! Having had chili in the last two weeks, I was looking for a recipe for a soup to make that would last throughout the work week and lo and behold, I found the ole Taco Soup recipe that I make quite often during the cold winter months. It's hot and spicy and will warm your soul! 2 lbs Ground beef. 2 cups Onions diced. 2 can (16 oz) Pinto beans. 1 can (16 oz) Kidney beans. 1 can (16 oz) Corn drained. 1 can (15 oz) Mexican-style stewed tomatoes.

Friday, January 24, 2014. Holistic Cancer Protocol: Cancer Basket. My father was not a healthy man. He had Buerger's Disease. And Congestive Heart Failure. His medication regimen was epic. After a long hospital stay he would always come back home with new pills and new doses. Pill boxes are fine if you take two or three pills a day. When you take a handful - not exaggerating - at a time, 3 to 4 times a day. well, they didn't make pill suitcases. Back in the 1990s. It would be a lot better. You know that ...
