GSE 9640 Team Arizona. Tuesday, 5 June 2012. Our next stop is in the White Mountains, this is cattle country and home of John Wayne Ranch. He mainly kept Angus and Herefords and had over 7000 plus head of cattle at one time. The white building in the background is his ranch and is still used as a ranch today. GSE 9640 Team Arizona. Sunday, 3 June 2012. A visit to Jakes Corner introduced us to country Hoe Down, it was a fantastic night, firstly to enjoy a prime rib with some members of both Payson and Rim Rotary Clubs and then to do some toe tapping to a bunch of country muso's having a jam session. Here you can see the farmed land on the cannon floor, we sat and just look at the beautiful rock formation and admired the ever changing colours of the rock walls. It is truly a magic place. The Park is comprised entirely of Navajo tribal trust land and the National Park Service and Navajo Nation are actively working together to manage park resources. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). GSE 9640 Team Arizona. Sunday, 3 June 2012. Payson has been a real introduction to country hospitality and totally different to being in Phoenix. The cave area above me is actually a carved into a number of rooms which housed up to 4 people in each room, it was obviously carved to protect from the elements of weather, animal preditors and the enermy tribes, also to watch over small crops that grew in the valley below.
