Zydeco Ranch: November 2011

Sunday, November 27, 2011. Walmart: a glimpse into a post-Collapse situation. I survived Walmart the day after Thanksgiving. But it was harrowing. It's sheets, people. Sheets. If I miss out, I won't shed a tear over it. It's sheets. Thankfully, we were out of the store by 10:15. My wife said "never again.". The sheeple were clawing over each other for sheets. Imagine if it had been the last can of spam? Wednesday, November 2, 2011. For all my vets who are sick of the Occupy sheeple. Subscribe to my blog.

Zydeco Ranch: The Brownsville Shooting.
http://zydecoranch.blogspot.com/2012/01/brownsville-shooting.html
Friday, January 6, 2012. It drives me nuts to read the headlines and stories about the "victim" in the Brownsville shooting this week. And here is my points on the matter:. 1) The kid brought something to school that resembled a gun. He knew that it wasn't allowed and he did it anyway. 2) The kid brandished the weapon as if it was a gun, pointing it at people, including law enforcement officers. 3) The kid was repeatedly told by law enforcement officers to drop the weapon, or at least lower it. I just ca...

Zydeco Ranch: I never knew it was this bad.....
http://zydecoranch.blogspot.com/2013/02/i-never-knew-it-was-this-bad.html
Thursday, February 14, 2013. I never knew it was this bad. Went to the other good gun store. Still plenty of guns, limited ammo. Heard the shopkeeper tell a guy that they are backed up on background checks because the state is dragging their feet getting them done as their version of gun control. If it takes 2 weeks to get the check done, then it might keep people from buying guns. February 17, 2013 at 2:29 PM. Yes, in many places, the shortages of ammo, are quite bad. You have a point. White field, whit...

Zydeco Ranch: July 2011
http://zydecoranch.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Eggs and the Garden. I got 6 chicks the month before Easter and have managed to lose only one (my own fault, had a gap between the house and the coop and she fell out and wandered on. She may still be out there rogue in the chico bushes). So several months later, I had a come-to-Jesus meeting with them over being moochers. I was severely tempted to hang up a sign counting down the days until I started eating them, one by one. Lo and behold, last Thursday, someone laid an egg.
