Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Made it to Oregon. The kids and I drove to Oregon to see family. The kids got to have some good cousin time. We stayed with Scott's parents. They made us a welcome sign. I wanted to get all the kids to pose by it, but it didn't happen. We played.A LOT! Here we are at a park next to a splash pad. Everyone was happy to help me with Emma. Here is (cousin) Kelsie reading Emma a story. We went raspberry picking, which is always fun. The next boy is Grant, who is four. John, Olivia (L...

Thursday, August 28, 2014. Back in the Swing of Things. Well our summer is over and school is back in session, although it still is actually summer and feels like it (over 100 degrees and high humidity). Here are just a few pictures from our first few weeks of school. Getting into our new school routine. Our sunflowers finally bloomed so we've been enjoying them. Here's Grant playing an indoor soccer game of some kind. Here's Anna getting ready for family night. She was in charge that day. We made a deal...

The Guptill Family: March 2015

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. The little guys got to go out first and hunt for eggs. They started everyone out just getting 10 eggs so everyone would be able to find enough. Grant knew just what to do - an old pro. Find eggs. Put eggs in basket. First they let nursery age kids and sunbeams go (John and Grant respectively). Then junior primary got a turn (about 5-7 year olds). So that was Anna! Anna is also a seasoned vet of Easter egg hunting. It didn't take her long to get her 10 eggs. Anna with her loot.

Sunday, June 28, 2015. Summer Fun - Lost Photos Edition. They were lost but now they're found. Here are some of the formerly lost photos. This is me and one of my Illinois buddies, Alisa, on the last day of school. One last goodbye before rolling out of town. Anna's friend, Andrew (Alisa's son). It looks like he gave her flowers, but those were from me. In the car on our drive west. Anna was upset about something. You can kind of see how packed our car was. On the road - somewhere in Nebraska I think.

The Guptill Family: May 2015

Thursday, May 21, 2015. We eventually found the swing tree (or so we think), but the swing was gone. Just a frayed rope hanging from one of the branches. Matthew wanted to climb this tree right away. I have so much to teach him about climbing trees. 1. Find an appropriate tree to climb. This one was not a good climbing tree. Here is Matthew at that same tree two years ago when we moved to Illinois. He still wanted to try it for a while. So eager. John and Grant wanted to climb too but were a little afraid.

Friday, August 28, 2015. 2014 Picture a Day. Mount St. Helens. We drove up to see Mt. St. Helens one day while in the northwest. We went to the Johnston Ridge Observatory. It was a little overcast but we were still able to see the mountains and crater pretty well. Here are a few pictures of our adventures. Checking out the mountain. We did a little ranger program for the kids. Matthew shows off his ranger badge. It wasn't really that cold. Can you spot the oldests in this picture? Anna, Grant and John pl...

Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Sometimes We Wear Matching Clothes. Here are Anna and Emma in their sort of matching dresses. They both looked so cute. And all the girls together. This was sort of in the middle of getting ready for church. Matthew took the picture for us. Emma's dress was lace all over and Anna and I had lace on just the bodice of the dress. And I swapped out with Scott. And all the girls again. I think Scott took this. Anna always wants to hold Emma. And here's a special bonus photo. We als...

The Guptill Family: February 2015

Saturday, February 21, 2015. Since John was pretty young he has been behind his age group in gross motor skills. He has been going to physical therapy for about a year and a half to help him catch up. His speech was a bit behind as well and he's been going to speech therapy for about 8 months. We're so proud of our little graduate. Hopefully he will continue to make good progress! Here is John up on the ottoman pretending to be a super hero. Thursday, February 19, 2015. We had a fun time building him!
