Haiku and Food to Suit Your Mood

Haiku and Food to Suit Your Mood. Because Food is Cheaper than Therapy. Thursday, April 1, 2010. Chicken of the Sea Saves the Day. What's this behind the canned peas? It tastes like chicken! Finding myself in this predicament last night, I realized I hadn't been out to pick up supplies. Fortunately, my husband could drop by the store and get chicken and a few vegetables for a stir-fry. Unfortunately, he forgot the chicken. Check it out here. It's touted as firm and flaky, not mushy, moist but not watery.

Haiku and Food to Suit Your Mood: Cleanup Frenzy is Productive

http://www.haikuandfoodtosuityourmood.blogspot.com/2009/12/cleanup-frenzy-is-productive.html

Haiku and Food to Suit Your Mood. Because Food is Cheaper than Therapy. Friday, December 18, 2009. Cleanup Frenzy is Productive. Got to tidy up. Too much cabinet clutter. Must clean out the fridge. Gravy is taking up space -. Or can it be soup? I am a happy woman if the house is neat and tidy to all appearances. "Find it a home! Out of sight, out of mind. Otherwise, the clutter drives me insane. So in a recent fit of impatient (read: furious) weeding out after a grocery run, when I didn't have the time t...

Haiku and Food to Suit Your Mood. Because Food is Cheaper than Therapy. Thursday, December 3, 2009. The joy of new discoveries. Why is "stinky" cheese. Considered a gourmet food. When it smells like socks? Last weekend, I discovered something new. Something I would never have tried based on the sound of it, but something that was truly yummy. It was lemon stilton cheese. Stinky" cheese with candied lemon rind? Are you kidding me? Green Salad with Pears and Lemon Stilton. Creamy Orange Vinegarette Dressing.

Haiku and Food to Suit Your Mood. Because Food is Cheaper than Therapy. Friday, December 4, 2009. To show my deep love,. I make a wholesome dinner. Yuck, Mom. What is that? I love fish, but like many people, I find it intimidating to cook sometimes. This is compounded by the fact that my two kids rarely are enthusiastic about the results. The kids had fish sticks from a box - and everyone was happy. 2 teaspoons olive oil. 1 1/2 cups baby carrots, sliced lengthwise. 1/2 cup dry white wine. Lay fish over v...

Haiku and Food to Suit Your Mood. Because Food is Cheaper than Therapy. Thursday, December 17, 2009. Back to our Roots. It's smart to eat when you're stressed. Comfort food is best. I believe we are supposed to eat vegetables in season. Just because we can. Get fresh asparagus in December doesn't mean we ought. Mashed Celeriac and Potatoes. 3 cups diced peeled celeriac (1/2-inch dice). 12 ounce russet potato, peeled, cut into 1 1/2-inch chunks (about 2 1/2 cups). 2 tablespoons unsalted butter. Saturday, May 12, 2012. MARTA is quite the cross section of humanity. Educational, Physiological, but Spiritual even more. Riding the rails to the airport as another morning awoke was enlightening and exposing this week. As like a child, I was over stimulated spiritually as I looked into these people's hallow holes. My eye scanned faces while my heart seemed to ignite with "story hunger". What were their stories? Where we they all going? Why would no one look at me? Do they know God knows them?

Bottled Tears: Charleston

http://sarahannott.blogspot.com/2011/11/charleston_09.html

Wednesday, November 09, 2011. I had a wonderful time in Charleston celebrating yet another beautiful bride. The way that God fashions fits for individual women and men leaves me to glorify Him even more! Laurie and Caleb have a God written story for all to enjoy and rejoice over this spring. The maid of honor secured a gorgeous Charleston home on the beach for all 10 of us! With coffee in hands and coats on bodies we opened with John 21, Jesus sweetly making his loved ones breakfast on the beach at "dayb...

Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Belated story but must share! It lasted all of 5 short minutes when I was interrupted ( or should I say intersected) by an interesting man. He was dressed “coordinated” but unique, with nothing in hand but a coffee cup he must have brought from home. He walked by my table turned around and came back to ask me, “ can I share your table? 8221; Ummm…. NO! Not how I wanted to share my morning coffee quiet time, for sure. Then he speaks… “ beauty and religion, those ar...

http://sarahannott.blogspot.com/2011_08_14_archive.html

Wednesday, August 17, 2011. As the sun baked me brown on blue and white speckled chairs, my eyes were drawn upward. Living it up in Tampa laying out at the yacht club, the Lord spoke to me a sweet word: look up and watch for Me! But even more incredible, the size 2 women in gucci glasses never raised there head or batted an eye, much less looked up! Are we too engrossed into life down here that we merely don't look up? What is so gripping down below that all above has become un-stimulatingly common?

Haiku and Other Poems | Just another WordPress.com site

Haiku and Other Poems. Just another WordPress.com site. What was it I thought? What was it I thought? I can’t remember. It’s lost in my grey stuff. No memory of it. In my software store. No picture to see. Nor hint for me. What was it I thought? I can’t remember. Lost in the tangle. It flashed in and out. And was gone in a hurry. I don’t even know. What it was meant to be. Headaches come and go. Leaving you feeling like shit. The wind blows stronger. Now September has moved on. Leaves are scattered round.
