Laura's Blog: Blog #4 Feed
http://lc7027.blogspot.com/2011/02/blog-4-feed.html
Tuesday, February 15, 2011. 8220;Then you’re walking around alone. You know there’s this weird moment where you realize that you’re alone, and no one else has been walking for a while. You realize that the moment, the exact moment, when you became alone is already over. You’ve been that way for a while. So you’re walking around this empty house, and all the towels are folded up, and the soap is still wet on the soap dish. That’s the creepy thing." - Feed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Laura's Blog: Reality TV
http://lc7027.blogspot.com/2011/03/reality-tv.html
Saturday, March 26, 2011. March 27, 2011 at 3:44 PM. I dont really watch much reality TV either, so I know what you meant when you said you didnt understand all of the references. March 27, 2011 at 3:49 PM. I was never much of a fan of reality tv. The article mentioned the show big brother, I feel it would suck having your privacy completely stripped away from you. March 28, 2011 at 2:02 PM. Like who wants that. These girls can barely take care of them selves but decided to get pregnant for money.

Laura's Blog: Blog #3: Dumbest Generation
http://lc7027.blogspot.com/2011/02/blog-3-dumbest-generation.html
Friday, February 4, 2011. Blog #3: Dumbest Generation. S omething new and disastrous has happened to America's youth with the arrival of the instant gratification go go go digital age. America's youth know virtually nothing about history and politics. They have developed a brazen disregard of books and reading.". This is true because whenever a paper is due or info is needed we look it up for that purpose and then forget about it. But we remember almost everything we see on facebook that day. February 7,...

Intro to Lit, Real and Imagined Futures: Final Blog
http://kanebritton.blogspot.com/2011/04/final-blog.html
Intro to Lit, Real and Imagined Futures. Wednesday, April 13, 2011. This class has given me the opportunity to really examine our culture from other perspectives. I really never used to question our pop culture, I just excepted it. Now I find myself looking at it though new eyes. Why are we so entranced by reality tv? Why do we like watching people beat each to a pulp on live tv? Are we really the dumbest generation? Do we still appreciate the items shown to us in "Because its good for you"? If not, why?

Cait's Corner: Blog # 5
http://caitscorner31.blogspot.com/2011/02/blog-5.html
Sunday, February 20, 2011. I am picking choice #3, here are my four advertisements. First one, Sports Authority. The second advertisement would be Payless Shoes. My third advertisement would be Facebook. I need to go on Facebook at least once every day. Its so addicting. I think that my advertisement wouldn't be about joining Facebook, it probably be about updating my status or adding new pictures. I could also see, it asking me "do I know these people" and try to get me add new people.

Monday, February 28, 2011. Blog #6: "Big Brother". Whenever I think of "Big Brother" I think of the "Uncle Sam Wants You" posters for some reason. I guess it's because in both posters there's a creepy guy looking at you? March 2, 2011 at 9:41 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I have learned to really open my mind and make cultural/ social connections. For an example if I had read Hunger Games before this class, I would have neve. http://kanebritton.blogspot.com/2011/01/blog-2.html
Intro to Lit, Real and Imagined Futures. Friday, January 28, 2011. Second Skin was, well, disturbing. The fact that people spend 12-18 hours daily playing a game online is mind blowing. They do not even have time to work, sleep, or eat. Talk about an addiction. The one guy from Philadelphia lost everything so he could pretend to be something he is not in a virtual world. How does that even work? Gamer 2: "Yeah sure, its a date". I mean really? Is that what its like? January 29, 2011 at 2:01 PM. I wrote a...
