Monday, July 7, 2014. When there aren't words. Life is so full. Full of beauty and pain and brokenness and joy and heartache and celebration. Somewhere along the way I stopped posting on here because I honestly felt like I just needed to pause for a moment. The past few months have been full of beauty, but they have also been full of tragedy. And tragedy leaves our hearts in a messy place where there are often no words. There and remembering to treasure every heart and every moment. Special, special day}.

Monday, April 7, 2014. Last night I went to McDonald's with a friend to get some work done for school. It is basically the closest thing we have to a coffee shop around here. coffee and free wifi are hard to come by. And there we found ourselves asking that familiar question once again. Is it ok? Just taking a moment today to appreciate things from these past few days and the coming weekend (before we start teaching on monday and get into a routine.). I think today is for loving and appreciating and taking pictures and just being with people. today is for making coffee and making people smile. i want to capture all the goodness i see. i am thankful for laughing with friends until i lose my breath. i'm thankful that now i can listen to jos é. To kill, when there's a night that i don't see.

It is now, around the start of my last semester of college, when I constantly get the question, "So, what are your plans after you graduate? These are the words I dread, probably not unlike most people my age. Being in the DR again also renewed my passion and love for Dominican people and life there in general.
