A Hotch-pot or Gallimaufry of Divers Things. These two amazingly bizarre masks are from Manaus, Brazil. A London Salmagundi
http://salmagundi.heracliteanfire.net/post/374412639/about-a-london-salmagundi
A Hotch-pot or Gallimaufry of Divers Things. Hi, and welcome to Salmagundi. I’m Harry, and my main web presence is at my blog, Heraclitean Fire. I set up Salmagundi as a place for sharing sparkly objects I find on the web, and for opinions which are too long for Twitter but I can’t be bothered to work up into full blog posts. Think of it as my own little contribution to the short attention span of the internet :). Salmagundi is powered by Tumblr. I used a theme called Stationery. Theme based on Stationery.

Polyolbion: Birdsong dialects
http://polyolbion.blogspot.com/2015/06/birdsong-dialects.html
Thursday, 4 June 2015. I don't think I've got anything useful to say about THAT Craig Raine poem that hasn't already been said, so instead, let's talk about bird dialects. The other night, at a site close to home, I was surprised and delighted to hear what sounded like a Corn Bunting singing. This once-common species has disappeared from large parts of the UK, and in Leicestershire, the only records these days are of a handful of birds around the Warwickshire border, near Twycross. You have just made me ...

Autumn Verses: April 2007
http://autumn-verses.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
I walk a dream of reality. Monday, April 30, 2007. We will dance on the cold pebbles. Beside the lake where ripples. Of clear blue water will tickle our feet,. Where wisp of autumn air will thread. Our hair and make us giggle like children,. And where dragons can turn into butterflies. When dusk casts long shadows. Across the garden, we will sit. And brew tea. We will read. Our favourite poems to each other. And try to outwit one another. With stories, tall or short,. Rhymed or unrhymed,. My forehead and...
